I don't see how them changing his wallcrawling ability so it's strong enough to work through about an inch of rubber is defying whatever rules they've set for this movie...

There is also a chance that like SpideyFan said, the shoes are somewhat thin soled. Apart from the bits where the studs are.

lol...if only peter had been thoughtful enough to not wear those shoes, Gwen would still be able to get thrown off a bridge and have her neck snap instead

From the blurb of the Amazing Spider-Man junior novelization 'Secret Origins':

Quote:
Just in time for the upcoming cinematic blockbuster "The Amazing Spider-Man" comes this volume spotlighting the Web-Head's colorful cast of characters, and introducing the film's principal players! Swing along with Spidey as he gains new and frightening powers, tangles with the likes of the Lizard, Electro, and Captain George Stacey - not to mention perennial thorn-in-the-side Flash Thompson - and honors the memory of his beloved Uncle Ben!
Did I miss something?

They'll show footage behind closed doors in cinemas in about 13 or something big cities around the world. We'll probably get descriptions about them then.

You didn't know? They're merging Lizard with Electro so Lizard will actually spit electric blasts out of his mouth!

Where did you see this? I believe we saw this a long time ago and then someone found something that proved it wrong, but I can't remember what it was...

That's what I thought, but it said that it was introducing the film's principal players then mentioned Electro so that's what threw me...
