It's one of the dumbest things to have weed illegal. Just because the gov't can't get rich off of it. Isn't this substance natural to the earth?! Sucks, but yeah, against the rules. But all the rules are bull.

I think a lot of laws are bull. We still have to follow them or we get punished.

This is a stupid debate. Just like fighters aren't allowed to use certain steroids or even cold medicine that is perfectly legal, you can't have marijuana in your system. It doesn't matter if he has a license to grow it and take it. You can't have it in your body for competition as the commission deems it a danger to fighters during a fight.

Well, at least we know the commission doesn't smoke weed.

Sucks that Sanchez/Ellenberger is on Fuel. They should put these fights on Facebook or something. Anyways, I have Ellenberger winning by decision.

Also, Dana White has just tweeted that Palhares/Belcher has been signed for the UFC on Fox 3 card as well. It will be a 4 fight TV card. I think this is a good mix for the lineup honestly.

But at the end of the day this is unscripted so no matter how much you plans fights might not always go how you expect.

It's possible. He's a big dude and Hendricks got outworked by Rick Story.

Sanchez looks in really good shape, better than he did against Kamppman but i'm still rooting for Ellenberger.

I'm a big fan of both Sanchez and Ellenberger. Diego has been in so many exciting fights that I expect him to be in another one tomorrow night. Too bad he's regressed. In his post TUF run he really looked spectacular. It seems like he's not been the same. The Paulo Thiago fight gave me hope, but he looked pretty sluggish against Kampmann and out of shape. He seems to be in good shape though. I'm not seeing how guys aren't giving him a shot.

Ellenberger is probably my favorite prospect at 170 right now. He's got good striking and wrestling. I'm torn because I want to see him get another big win, but man is it hard for me to root against Diego.

Sanchez believed in the hype and became arrogant. He got a big ego and left the Jackson camp when they started training with GSP. Made a drop to lightweight and got son'd by BJ Penn. Then he made bad business deals and started doing lots of drugs and alcohol.

He made a lot of bad choices because of his ego. He is super-talented, but I think Sanchez's issue is that mentally . . . well he's a bit of an odd duck.

Too bad we didn't get two more rounds. If there ever was a fight that needed 5 rounds that was it.

Maybe but it also could've been a totally different paced fight if it was five rounds.

Just saying. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Only the Fox and PPV main events will be 5 rounds.

Fans need to get over it. You whine when a fight is boring and goes too long and then you whine when it isn't long enough. That's the fight game some times. Diego Sanchez has only himself to blame for waiting too long to turn it up and go for the win. He fought bad all the way up until almost the end of the third round.

He couldn't get the job done. Also not like he didn't get a screwy split decision over Martin Kampmann some time ago. Just desserts IMHO.

Anderson Silva Says He Won't Fight Jon Jones, Thinks Chael Sonnen Is Bad For The Sport

Quote:
In a recent interview with UOL Esportes, Silva talked about Sonnen and many other topics (transcription by Orcus).

On Sonnen:

A lot of people who hears the crap he says end up thinking; "I don't like MMA, it's a joke." What he does only hurts the sport in general. That's never good. We are in a good phase with MMA and we have to capitalize on it. It looks like Chael doesn't understand that, all he wants is for people to get angry.

On getting older:

I’m no longer the same, everything hurts and it takes much longer for me to recover (from injuries).

On a potential superfight with Georges St. Pierre:

GSP is very educated and I like him a lot. A fight against him would be very, very, very big and this could actually happen.

On fighting Jon Jones:

I don't plan on moving up in weight anymore. He's in a different weight (class). I train with bigger guys, such as Lyoto Machida and Big Nog and I know how complicated it is. ...Every time I see Jones I tell him to keep focus, because if he does that, there's no opponent for him. He's better than everyone. He'd have a lot of advantages (over me), he's much younger and it wouldn't be something interesting (for me).

The LHW division is nearing the level of the MW division, in my opinion.
