Probably more or less Malekith's magiks are nature based, and Amora's being an ENCHANTRESS more like suggestive types of magik's. Where Loki, and Sigyn have an over all magik knowledge.

heh There was an artical someone posted in the Avengers threads yesterday that said Cap and Thor were going to carry Avengers even tho IM has out sold the two in the theaters.

Dude, he can be an Avengers villain too! But you have to introduce him somewhere, and the Thor franchise would be that place to introduce him so we can get a formal introduction to him, not a hasty one that an Avengers movie would afford him. Yea if Thanos' was to be in one of the solo films, it'd have to be Thor's.

I'd love to see a fight between Odin and Thanos on the big screen, trading blasts of unmeasurable amounts of energy that start distorting and warping reality. Thanos literally walking through a sustained blast from Gungnir. Odin blasting him a mile into the distance.

A couple of reasons. First, they've already taken one Thor villain and made him an Avengers villain. Second, all signs point to Thanos having some involvement in the first Avengers movie, so to bring him into Thor 2 would cheapen his appearance in Avengers 2 (IMO).

I agree. There are certain rules for storytelling and build ups. IF Thanos is somehow featured and foreshadowed in Avengers, then we won't see him as a main villain until Avengers 2. He MIGHT turn into the Nick Fury of Phase II, though. Popping up now and then after the credits.

His appearance in Thor 2 could be explained by him wanting the Infinity Gauntlet from Odin's weapon vault. Setting it up for Avengers 2.

Were it not for Malekith's vulnerability to iron, he would be slightly more powerful than Amora. Malekith is a true sorcerer in the AD&D sense, most of his abilities are inherent which he has built on top of by studying magic. Sorcerers can usually cast more spells of a certain type but wizards get a wider variety of spells to choose from. Asgardians strike me as being less magical than elves, so wizard-like individuals like Karnilla and Amora have to work harder by making more frequent use of focci, rituals, components etc.

Why is everyone so dead set on Thanos being the main villain in Avengers 2?

I think it would be better to save him for Avengers 3 with Ultron or the Masters of Evil being the villains for Avengers 2.

Because teasing a character for nearly 10 years without showing him do anything would be a mistake.

****, if and when Avengers 3 rolls around i'll be over 30! That's if i make it that far!

Well, around that mark yea. Maybe 8 years. I just think Thanos is better played as a Darth Vader figure, rather than an Emperor type figure. I mean, Thanos is indeed a schemer, a planner. But he also likes to get his hands dirty. Having his minions do all the work isn't really in his character.

^ Yeah but I don't want them to blow their load to early, The Avengers don't really have a villain than can top him so anyone that comes after him will be a step down.

It will be their first film where they're Avengers from beginning to end and it would be a little too soon for Thanos, not to mention they have other important villains like Ultron, Master of Evil, and Kang.

Any idea what might happen with the destroyer? Wasn't it just left in a pile on the street and thor and crew just burned out straight to asgard? Im guessing shield has it but i wonder if that will be addressed.

Yeah Ghost Rider is my second favorite character right behind Thor so I have to show him some love every now and then.

I'm waiting until next week for the 2nd Avengers trailer to hit the net so I can get an avy of Thor doing something awesome.
