Loved just about every scene with Beast too.

Which all the more only makes killing Cyclops a bonehead, dimwitted, braindead move only a idiot would consider.

Cyclops isnt even my favorite character, not even close, but damn show some respect to the characters youre adapting.

^Agreed, he should have had a major role in X3, at least in The Pheonix storyline, I really hope we get a proper adaptation of that storyline some day.

One of my most fav, fav moments in the trilogy was in X2, when those rambo guys, leaded by Striker, sneaked in the mansion at night. I loved the whole feeling right before the scene, with the little kid watching TV and zapping with the blink of his eyes, and Logan wandering around the house looking for beer, I loved that, it was how living with the X-Men shold feel like. And then everyone trying to run away, the little girl screaming, Logan kicking butt, Colossus saying "I can help you", you know? I loved it. That's X-Men at its purest.

i went with wolverine's cage scene introduction.

another fav of mine that wasn't included is the very end of x3, with magneto cured and playing chess in the park.

my favourite bit in x men 1 is actually through 3 deleted scenes, its some brillaint character development for jean cyclops and storm, something which they lacked.

the first one is xavier and jean in cerebro, talking about how with charles jean wouldnt have had much of a life, its nice how she calls him charles as well, shows the relationship

the next one is storm talking to rogue, its the first time we hear storm actually in a conversation, we dont see her properly talk to anyone until her chasing wolverine as he is about to leave, anyway, she asks rogue how she is, her accent is brilliant and she comes across as the mother of the school, whih is brillaint

the next scene is the extended bedroom scene, jean explains why cyclops is so controlled and then cyclops and logan have an extended argument, scotts beliefs are shown as he states he is a proud mutant, love this scene as he kicks logans ass, as he should do after logan stealing his role in x3

My favorite of the ones listed was DEFINATELY the X2 Nightcrawler intro/attack in the White House.

The effects were awesome and seeing Nightcrawler introduced that way was wonderful!

I agree w/you if the characterizations we got in X3 could match what was taken out of X1 then we would have kick ass characters...combine X3 Storm(fighting/power wise) w/X1 Storm then her character would have been kick ass from the start and w/Jean the scenes from X1 would've made the phoenix vs xavier more heartfelt because of the father/daughter relationship that wasn't present...in these films it felt like Xavier treated the X-Men as students instead of his children and each team member has a special relationship w/him

That was one of the main problems with X3 for me, the characters just came accross as totally different to the ones in the first 2 movies, and not by character development, just by poor writing, its like they didnt even watch the first 2 movies when writing it.

Anyway, watching X2 today, my favourite scene is definately still Jean's sacrifice at the end, its easily the most emotional scene in any CB movie, and just completes a superb movie perfectly, and somehow manages to end on an upbeat note, which again wasnt followed through with X3.

They set up the next film with something so epic, and set it up so perfectly...watching the films back to back recently...going from the end of X2 into X3...disappointing, and I do like X3, and to a lesser extent Wolverine (so stone me)...I can't help but remember how excited I was at theater at the end of X2......

....my position keeps changing so right now I'm cautiously optimistic for First Class...

I love every great moment from the first 3 movies but the "Jean Grey sacrifice" moment is definitely the best. It was moving and emotional.

I was watching X2 for the first time in a while two days ago and I had completely forgotten Magneto's best line- "You are a god among insects. Never let anyone tell you different." That's my favorite moment.

Mystique breaking into the Stryker's base. She's like some silent assassin. She has no problem taking out multiple soldiers.

I think some of the best moments were:

All of Mystiques fight scenes. Something about her movements and style really entertain me.
Wolverine and Deathstrikes fight scenes were immense.
The cyclops/Jean tradgedy scenes - i think Marsen is a very very good actor, and i find the deaths etc pretty emotional
Magneto destroying the bridge, and the big battle following this
the scene in jeans family home is very intense - good fight scenes, and prof x's death

Toad (in general) in X1...they recreated/revamped a lame henchman into a fairly formidable baddie...I don't recall if it was in this thread or another but again...I really enjoyed Toad in X1...he (in a way) went toe to toe with a good chunk of the team (minus Logan) and had the upper hand....I was just amazed with such a great revamp of the character and it was a shame he never returned (to this day I still think about what could have been in X2)...
