A couple of Hawkeye bios say that he has notches on the nocks of his arrows that tell him what kind they are. Seems a pretty good explanation, though the speed at which they draw from the quiver, I can't imagine you'd get a feel that quick of which arrow you're pulling. But then they also arrange them in the quiver in order, and its not like they have 30 different arrow types - just 5 would do.

Taser, regular, boxing glove (though by boxing glove I mean the type below), timed explosive, sonic emitting or gas releasing, and one grapnel.

The quiver could also be separated into compartments and he just knows them by heart.

The comic version of Hawkeye, at least theoretically, keeps the various trick arrow heads on his harness, and mounts them on a shaft as needed. Granted, I doubt they very often actually show him doing anything other than drawing an arrow from his quiver, so. . .

That said, I'm willing to go with "he's just that good."

I think the arrow head thing is actually that he carries a number of different arrow heads on his belt/harness etc that he uses to swap out on arrows when the need arises. Like if he's only got gas arrows left in his quiver and needs a regular broad head, he can swap out the head thereby not needing to carry a hundred complete arrows to cover every eventuality.

Still, I shoot a dozen arrows in under five minutes if I'm just target shooting in my back garden - so given the speed at which he can loose arrows, the bigger bugbear people should have is: How is Hawkeye not completely useless after about three minutes?

Umm, so which handed is Hawkeye in this movie - because the banners and posters and pics have half where he's holding the bow in his right, and half in his left. And ambidextrous is not an option because the arm with the brace and the hand with the tab keep switching too. Definitely some image flipping to suit the layouts going on...

Judging by the lean of his quiver, I'd say lefty

Yeah it was a few people's reactions, but it was mainly because they went in the film thinking Hawkeye was going to be a minor character.

I'm curious to see on what a poster meant, who had seen an early cut of the film, when they said that Hawkeye in this film will be like the Jason Bourne of the film where he's able to make use of his environment and surroundings as a means towards combating his enemies.

I've got a couple of questions / requests that some of you Hawkeye fans might be able to help me with!

(Cue possible excitement from anyone that may know about my blog)


1) Do we have any photos / Screenshots of Hawkeye from the back? I'm trying to get a good view of what the back of his costume looks like!

2) Do we actually see him wearing the glasses at all in the trailers or anywhere outside the early concept + promotional images (and toy range) ??
