That's very interesting. I didn't know that FULL TRAILERS played on television.

I saw that episode last week and do not remember seeing the new trailer. I hope I see it on tv soon

Agreed. I was pleasantly surprised when they showed the entire trailer inbetween The Daily Show's commercial breaks.

I can't wait for May to get here (the highlights will undeniably be Hulk reeking havoc, Cap vs Tony, Thor vs Loki and Iron Man taking on the invaders in an aerial spectacle, for me).

Hulk and Thor might get it on the aerial combat as well, since one is a high jumper and the other can actually fly as well.

Outside of seeing awesome action I just want the characterisation to be spot on. I want Avengers to look like Transformers in terms of spectacle, not BE Transformers.

I'm looking forward to seeing Steve's arc. Also I think it'll be interesting to see how Stark reacts to this living legend who initially views him as nothing more than a man in a suit of high tech armour. I get the feeling he might develop an inferiority complex about Steve, which he masks with his typical irreverent attitude.

That action was always the thing that was up in the air though, because one thing that Marvel's previous show that they excel at characterization.

Not to mention the fact that Joss Whedon is the director which means that proper characterization is definately going to be a priority.

I love that Marvel basically pointed Joss in a direction and said go for this one, instead of being like Fox, taking an awesome script, and then replacing it with horse manure.

For example: If the studio hadn't interfered, Alien Resurrection would have been not just not terrible, but awesome. His X-Men script probably would have kicked ass too, and made Cyclops more than just an 'also in this movie' character.

Apparently, Joss also pitched a Batman film one time, and when he left, he was wondering "how much more indication do I need that the machine doesn’t care?"

Apparently, that was also the day Firefly was cancelled.

It was a savvy marketing move on Marvel's part to place the trailer in primetime on networks (ESPN, NICK, USA, Cartoon) that reach its target audience. It must have set the studio back a nice chunk of change but it was well worth it.

Yeah that was a smooth move on Marvel & Disney's behalf, I'm pretty satisified with the marketing so far and I think this filmis going to suprise alot of people.

could be. just would be nice to have a guarantee that if I did see certain movie that the Avengers trailer would be attached

Oh yeah, nothing was featured on the trailer with Thor flying but that's true. I wonder how many aerial battles Thor will be featured in. So far, we've only seen him grounded in the trailers (except when he landed on top of the Quinjet).

Yeah but it only makes sense given that Thor can fly, I'm sure he's not going to be running around on foot the entire battle.
