Hulk with ripped up shorts look more intimidating than Spidey's red and blues. Although, once Spidey shows what he's capable of, THEN I'd be intimidated.

They usually look white and blank, which gives it a creepy feel. In the comics we sometimes see him surrounded in darkness and just his eyes are showing, and he may be coming down a wall or hanging somewhere and it would look genuinely creepy if you saw it sneaking up on you like that.

Agreed!

At least the suit looked good in the second trailer. Shame on the random lining, but the red and the blue and the eyes!!! looked fantastic.

I loved how Spidey could be funny and sarcastic this time. I felt like I was finally watching the true Spider-man. Which contrasts with what i could see of the sad gloomy Peter.

Spidey never intended his suit to look intimidating. He's not Batman.

There is only ONE Spider-Man. His name is Peter Parker. He's an adult, and he's straight!

Although, him going back to his black suit in "Back in Black", wasn't that because he wanted to look more intimidating?

Again, I never said Spider-Man's aim is to intimidate anyone.

So you are saying that Spider-man felt the need to be intimidating and got into a black costume to achieve this...which shows the red and blues aren't intimidating

I'm not saying anything, I'm only asking. I never read that issue, so I'm only asking is that the reason, or one of the reasons, why he put that black suit back on.

In my opinion it's definately Tobey Maguire's, but the new costume isn't bad at all.

As soon as El Payaso stated he liked the suit in most of the trailer, everything calmed down.

I prefer the old one. The new one looks like they're trying too hard to be "cool" and "hip".

Not only is Tobey's suit better looking, he looks better as Spidey.
