Totally agree. I got sick of the prequel "Clone Wars" milieu a long time ago. I very much prefer the rougher, grimier original trilogy setting. The partial return to that in The Force Unleashed was what actually sold me on that game.

You know, since they've made it clear that KOTOR3 isn't happening, at least not in the foreseeable future, I've always thought it would be awesome if Bioware made "Knights of the New Republic". Like, set it thousands of years after the movies. That's basically uncharted territory in the Star Wars canon, right?

Unfortunately, if I'm not mistaken, the New Republic is already gone in Star Wars canon due to the ****** expanded universe (I don't read it but I have Wiki'ed it on occasion) and has been replaced by some mix between the Republic and the Empire or some such nonsense.

I dont know why for the life of me we have never got a Battlefront 3 yet on Xbox 360 or PS3 yet. Yet we get star wars kinect and a clone wars game for kids. Do lucasarts not want out money? I would sit through all the clone wars kiddie crap if it meant we would officialy get a Battlefront 3. IF they wont do a Battlefront 2 then atleast release a HD version for the PSN.

Yea i dont get it either. Those games sold well for the PS2/Xbox and online gameplay has only gotten better since. It seems the series would be perfect for these current consoles.

Lucasarts has been going downhill with their games for the past couple of years. seems that they have forgotten about their fanbase from the 90s/early 00s and decided to just focus on kid friendly games

even if it's not KOTOR 3, I would like a new Star Wars-based RPG game for the consoles, in the vein of Dragon Age and Mass Effect, where you can customize your character, choose your class, etc.

imagine Force Unleashed or Mass Effect type graphics + Star Wars RPG = Win!!

and Force Unleahsed 3 would be nice, too, since part 2 kind of ended on a cliffhanger......

This is my problem in general right now. Take WWE for example, they completely alienated there core fanbase that made them tons of money during the attitude era and went PG for the kiddies and in turn have terrible ever since. Now lucasarts has shown in the past they do kids stuff but then comes right back with an adult oriented game but why not finally give us battlefront 3? what else do they have that needs to be made?

This has been why I've been tired of Star Wars games (PS/Xbox consoles) for a loooong while now (PC/Nintendo has faired a bit better I think but I never was a PC or Gamecube person, except for Galaxies on PC ). Even though the game had a bad reputation, I loved Galaxies for the OT setting.

When Episode I came out (and from 99-2001), all the games were Episode I related (not that theres a problem with that, myself I love the Episode I game-loved going on a murder spree with Qui-Gon on the Tatooine levels.) The one OT themed game from the late 90's early 00's was Demolition and that was still heavily influenced by Episode I. Myself I'm an Xbox person, and Xbox's first SW offerings were Episode I retreads with Obi-Wan and Starfighter. The release of Episode II-Episode III and the original CW toon started the CW game onslaught (although I did like Republic Commando).

...the Jedi Knight games, and The Force Unleashed games (and the OT scenarios/elements in Battlefront and even some of the elements of KSW) offered a nice return to the OT setting, I just wish we had more OT themed games......theres a vast Galaxy of stories and characters, myself, I'm just a bit upset focus has been placed in the PT and the CW some what exclusively (again I love the entire saga and the CW toons) again mostly its just the focus placed on that era...

I will say though, Chewie, Han, Leia, and Lando in KSW makes me want an OT themed game, I liked the game models, wish they were just in a different game.

the SNES Star Wars game have thus far been the best original trilogy games Lucasarts have released

hell, i'll be down to have an HD remake of those games

i'm just sick of Lucasarts overlooking the original films for all these years
