 I have no clue what happened in that post. Once removed means they aren't in the same generation. You have cousins who were born from your parents siblings, they are first cousins. Then you have cousins born from your cousins: Second Cousins Then there are your parents cousins, who are also your cousins: Those are once removed cousins. It has nothing to do with a "disowned" thing. And tenth cousins really isn't a big thing. That's far enough apart to not have any genetic abnormalities in your children. Hell, everyone on planet Earth is related to one another some way. |

Also, my parents are 7th cousins. Anything after first is legal, and if you live in the same area long enough you're likely to run into a few tenth cousins, it's not that close a relation.
