Meh, I never like those interprtations of the BatMobile as a tank, it takes away from the character IMO. I prefer the sleeker sports car with modifications.

but the closest to a tank i like is the tumbler & i even have issues w/ that... I enjoy a burton/TAS inspired car! ON THE DVD nolan & goyer say the batmobile was inspired by a lamborgini & humvee... B.S. they got the idea of a tank FROM DKR.... they're not gonna fool me!

nolan & goyer were claiming that to save themselves... they said they did a clay model... they're too late... a tank was done in the 80's!

I have to say that the Burton/Keaton Batmobile is also my favorite - even with the glaring fault in it's design - the big open air intake for the turbine engine right up front with what looks like no protection of any kind at all for it.
![]() I always wondered what the Keaton mobile would look like with a nose similar to the one used on the Clooney mobile (Batman & Robin) or perhaps a grill like the Batmobile in BTAS - first model. ![]() I also have to say I have gotten really interested in the subject of the 1930's era Batman and this possible model of the Batmobile from 1935 that I found online. Seems to be based on the Auburn Boatailed Speeder from the same year. ![]() <S>! Last edited by DaJester; 04-08-2012 at 10:42 PM. |

Another I found that looks like it might be the first model 2-seat sports car Batmobile used in "THE BATMAN" AS: PEUGEOT 907 V-12 CONCEPT CAR ![]() <S>! |

The Tumbler is a complete beast. Low to the ground, all terrain and fast.

Might not be the best, but I've actually become partial to this one (from DC Universe Online):
![]() It kind of reminds me of a hybrid of the Tumbler and the Burtonmobile, plus I like the red glass and the idea of having dual exhaust ports instead of just one.

LOL @ CCon!
![]() Yea don't like the "Neon Nightmares" of the Schumacher era either. I was speaking of maybe from the wheel wells forward for the nose part. The rest of the car is a loss IMHO. ![]() @ Jochimus Actually kinda like this one too. Just like you said combines the Keaton BM with the Tumbler. It's shape kinda reminds you of one of the classes of LeMans racers. Just looks fast sitting still. <S>! Last edited by DaJester; 04-09-2012 at 12:15 PM. |

Hah. Honestly, I think I actually like the B&Rmobile more than the one from BF. I don't know why, but I've always hated that car.

I guess I am in the "Realism" camp (HA! While talking Comic Books) on Batmobiles. I like the BM's that you would think someone who is trying to hide in the night or fight crime in might actually use (Keaton Mobile or the Tumbler) not some "Glaring" rolling Neon Sign saying "Shoot me Please."
About as bad as the Batsuits with the chrome silver accents in B&R and the notorious "Bat Nipples." Give me a fricken break.

I owned a pair of K-Swiss shoes that I thought looked like the Forever car.

Haha yes. Don't really like either. The B&R Batmobile is a convertible as well, with Batman completely exposed to attack. The Forever car had a canopy and just the blue neon. B&R's had orange, yellow red and blue neon. The BF Batmobile always seemed to be too light and weak to me, though. Like a gust of wind would push it over or something. The B&R one felt heavier in that regard.

Outside of the neon I liked the BF batmobile. It reminds me of the golden age batmobile. It was the first time actually that a car from the movie took direct influence in it's batmobile design from the comic which was cool. As Burton's batmobile had the opposite effect since it inspired comic book batmobiles as well as ones used in other meida instead of being inspired by them. That's still my favorite design overall though; Anton Furst was a genius.

Something along the lines of "THE BATMAN" AS sports car type Batmobile based on the Peugeot 907 Concept Car.

My favorite comic Batmobile will always be the pre/post NML Batmobile. They were different but about the same. One was by Kelly Jones, the other was Scott McDaniel.
It was like a Porsche 911 with very simple wings and the bat head on the front. Like this; http://www.comicvine.com/batmobile/1...le/105-264440/ or http://www.comicvine.com/batmobile/1...le/105-276828/
