Now of course he's bias since he is a producer on the film, but Kevin Feige saw an unfinished cut of the flick and he says it's excellent and should really quiet the whole "why reboot it" talk

Just read the new total film issue: no new pics but a cool article nonetheless. The most interesting part is they've already picked the villain for part 2 and they're going to try to keep the same aesthetic for this group of movies of not having too much going on story wise. Andrew says he liked spidey 3 but feels like it lost it's way by trying to be too big.
Oh and Andrew gets it as far as the character and the separation of spider-man and peter Parker, saying that Peter always feels like Peter not spider-man. Marc Webb says he was happy with the precedent Batman Begins set but he and Andrew were really inspired by Rebel Without A Cause. If anything else pops out at me I'll post it |

![]() But I also wouldn't mind to see a live-action version of Electro & Mysterio one day! Perhaps, one of them can be used as a secondary villain in the franchise.

Well based on what Andrew said about not being too big and not wanting to repeat spider man 3 idk if they'd ever do the minor villain attached to a bugger villain. I could be wrong but it just felt that way

It could just be a cameo, though (secondary villains). You could do it by word/pictures or rather short scenes. For example, remember the early Ultimate Spidey comics, when Shocker just popped up for 1 page & then got his butt handed?) Something like that would be nice, lol)

If they can pull off using more than one villain, I see no harm in it.
It worked in TDK. |

That would be fascinating to observe. Such confrontation would be quite unique, as it would go deeper into Peter's psyche.

I've always wanted to see a Spider-Man movie begin in the middle of a fight between Spidey and a lesser villain. Great way to start a flick. And it could still be part of the plot, so it wouldn't be some throw-away scene - have the film start with a battle between Shocker and Spidey. When Spidey wins, he takes the gauntlets to study them/figure out where they came from, which leads him to investigating Osborn/Green Goblin. That way, we get a kick-ass opening as well as seeing some more villains without the risk of the "too many villains curse".

Yeah. They had Scarecrow in the first 10 minutes of the movie after the prologue, they could do that with Shocker, Electro, etc.

Oh yeah of course stuff like that could work I would just hope they'd see it as "ok this guy probably can't carry a whole movie so let's not force him into the story" and just use him for a cameo for spidey to get a tune up on and then move on. The reason why two face worked in dark knight is because he tied in thematically with what was going on and was a key part of the plan. In order for it to work in Spidey they'd have to go the same route and really have a smart writer who can make a connection. Like to me, Osborn and any villain works but that's also based on Norman's motivation as a character in this trilogy. In the previous trilogy, they ignored the part of him wanting to take over crime in nyc and be the boss of all bosses but if they put that back in, then you have something with him engineering villains or hiring them, just like in spectacular spider-man
