He's 72, she's 27. The age difference and the circumstances may seem unusual to those of us brought up in typical families, but they're both adults and if they're entering into a marriage then we have to assume it's out of affection/love for one another. And if she's a gold digger .................... well at least Freeman will still have the enjoyment of having a pretty young wife on his arm at film premieres, while many other men his age are in retirement homes looking out the window at passing cars.

Meanwhile, 86yr old Hugh Hefner still shares his house and bed with a large posse of 18-28yr old playboy models and no-one bats an eyelid.

Well, you totally missed the point here. No one was saying anything about their age. They were disgusted by the rumor that he would be marrying his step-grandaughter, whom he raised.

Steps and in-laws aren't blood relations....there's nothing incestuous about that.

If she was 17 when the affair started, it *could* be statutory rape, depending on the state (in a lot of US states, 16 is the age of consent). And if he had an affair, there's the whole adultery issue.

But the "ick" factor is blown out of proportion regarding incest, since there's nothing incestuous about this.
