X-Men: FC2 to be Magneto's film it appears.

Endless things to use in a vast X-Men history and we're going to get a film that centers on Magneto.

Its frustrating to see Wolverine and Magneto hog up their films. Why not make a Magneto film if thats who you want to concentrate on.

I'd tend to agree, but I've been wanting to see Sinister in live-action for a long time. He does have history with Havok too, after all.

Michael Fassbender is now one of my favorite actors and his performance as Magneto in FC was one of the best things about the movie. However, I thought Xavier will get the bulk of the development in FC2 due to the transition he has to make from a charming young man to a crippled mentor of the X-Men, so it would make sense to focus on his challenges building his school in the sequel. But if it wasn't Fassbender playing Magneto, then I'd be let-down by this news.

I wonder if Magneto and his Brotherhood will be the primary villains in FC2.

I think its time for Fox to use Mr. Sinister. And I really hope they shoot this sequel next year of January because that means Fox will release the movie earlier!

Wouldn't surpirse me if Magneto became the new Wolverine. Fassbender's getting more popular and his Magneto was ****ing boss.

Yeah, I expect Magneto to be featured quite heavily in future films.

I know that TPTB probably won't want to retread old ground and base the plot of FC2 around another historical event, but I was browsing through Wikipedia earlier and read about the Zanzibar Revolution which took place in 1964. I got to thinking maybe they could use that as a loose basis for a plot, but replace Zanzibar with Genosha and have the mutant population rebelling against their non-mutant overlords. Erik could be helping (or even leading) the rebels while Charles just wants to try and find a peaceful resolution to the conflict. What do you guys think?

They need to drop Angel and Riptide imo. They are one-shot characters to me. I imagine Azael will stay, for his obvious unfinished business and the actor's relationship with Vasughn.

Magneto's line-up looks pretty good to me as Him, Mystique, Azazel and Frost.

They really should drop those two! I want to see new and interesting villains and with Angel Salvadore and Riptide gone, they wouldn't feel like a waste of space.

I see potential in Riptide, he was just too underdeveloped in First Class. They should drop Angel though.

Riptide and Angel arent needed. Riptide was litteraly there to take out a submarine and a few boats. Magneto can do that now. The guy had zero lines, he brings nothing. Unless there is an awesome match up with him vs another mutant who has good contrasting powers I see no reason why he should stay.

I think they just suck, switch em out with better characters if more are needed. Look at how Riptide did in a fight, Havok took him out in a half a second. They wont have use for either of them. Emma, Azazel and Mystique should take up most screen time/character focus and also can own the X Men as is. As well Magneto by himself. I guess Riptide and Angel are the only ones team X can handle right now. Maybe the they should stay so the X men dont look like they get their asses handed to them.

Unwarranted? They didnt do anything and were kind of lame. Riptide is a visual effects prop, nothing more. Why should they stay and take up screen time?

Because there's no need to replace them; like the rest of the characters from First Class, they can grow/learn. If either of them die because it fits the story then fine, but all this out of nowhere distaste for them is kind of stupid.

I dont think it would effect the movie in any form. I thought they hurt the film personally. Its not out of nowhere. Most have disliked or complained about those characters in some way since the film opened. Its nothing new.

Im looking forward to the public finding out about mutants for the first time. That should set the tone darker then FC1.

I've seen more complaints about Emma Frost than I have of Angel and Riptide.

Angel was simply there so someone would defect to Hellfire club.Just like darwin was there so a X-Men could die.

Mystique,Emma,and Azarel could work as Magneto's followers.Add Polaris as new X-Man and this could work well.

I am hoping for a showdown In public between X-Men VS Brotherhood which Is how public becomes aware of mutants.
