Honestly? This Venom doesn't come off, or hasn't been written, as strong and as fast as you think (and as I think) he should be. He really only seems to posess any real power when he berserks out like he always does. In his default stage, he seems to do nothing more than fire guns and climb walls.

I do agree to an extent, but he's still traded blows with Spidey, which means he must be as fast as him, which means he's way to fast for someone like Slade.

And please no one bring up the thing with Slade being able to tag Flash, that's just stupid writing.

Though I think Bane is a great character and is written wrong so many times, I see him going down hard here. Black Tarantula 9/10 matches.

I agree totally with Docker on this one. I like Bane quite a bit..probably more than BT...but I just don't think he'll win here. With the venom he might last a bit longer, but BT's healing factor will certainly give him the edge here the longer the fight goes...

Venom is an achilles specifically meant to be exploited by opponents in stories, and even its positive attributes barely put Bane above superhuman levels (at least before the New 52, which is still vague at this time, but looks heavily influenced by the Arkham games). Bane's real strength in fights is his mind, and venom usage clouds his judgement. Which is why the character was smart enough in the comics to give it up immediately after Knightfall.

Since there's no prep time or anything like that on Bane's side (I assume it would've been stated otherwise), Black Tarantula wins 10/10 times. Heck, even with prep time, I would've given it to BT more often than not. He's simply far stronger, faster, and is smart enough not to be easily tricked into defeat or anything like that even by a guy as smart as Bane.

Assuming Bane doesn't have prep time, I really don't see how he can pull it off even once. Bane is really strong, skilled, and smart, but he's completely human (or very low level superhuman if he behaves out of character and chooses to use venom). Sure, he knows 100 different ways to kill a man with his pinky finger, but he'll practically be moving in slow motion compared to BT, who has wiped the floor with Spider-Man on a physical level with superhuman agility and reflexes.

With prep time, I'd probably be a lot more generous and even say he might be able to win 3 or 4 times, as that's the area he can really shine against superior opponents. But even then, BT would still probably win.
