I personally took those as re-calls from their discussion of dreams from On My Way. Blaine's was marriage equality, I believe Quinn's was law school. I could be wrong, but I'm nearly positive that those came from that.

But Will said that about Santana, not Blaine or Quinn.

I never said he wasn't. Still, his voice is mostly manufactured. And they're constantly hyping him up like he's this phenomenal talent destined for Broadway when he's not. He wouldn't last a day on a Broadway stage.
But comments like "Mercedes is JUST AS talented as Kurt" or "I thought it was Celine singing" are just insulting.

I think a little higher of Kurt as a singer than you, but I agree he would be very unlikely to make it on Broadway. If nothing else, they just wouldn't know what the **** to make of him. He sings women's showtunes, but he wouldn't get those roles on Broadway. He could be a better singer than the girl, but the girl would get it because....she's a girl.
And considering he sang a Barbra Streisand song as his Tony audition (??) and got all miffed when he didn't get it, he seems to have trouble grasping this. Realistically, Rachel stands a better chance than Kurt (but by no means as certain as she acts like it is). I think both Kurt and Rachel need a reality check.

I agree with you. And I think Chris has a decent lower register that he just rarely ever uses.

I think part of it is the writers don't give him anything to sing besides Broadway women's ballads or showtunes that are all the same style.
4 Minutes and his weirdly deep voice in the opening of "Give Up the Funk" prove he is capable of other types of songs, they just don't use him for them. I really think they squandered him last episode by not giving him even part of a Bee Gees song and instead having everyone else struggle to adopt the high voice that he has naturally. Apparently next episode he's singing a Whitney Houston song to Blaine, so we'll see how that goes. At least he'll get a solo again, he hasn't had one since the 2nd episode of the season.

I wonder how many Whitney songs Blaine will get to sing.

I'm pretty sure they each sing one.
Blaine sings "It's Not Right But It's Ok". Darren admitted this to an interviewer. Lea Michele just mentioned on her Twitter that Kurt was singing a love song to Blaine in the Whitney episode. It's heavily speculated that Kurt is singing "I Have Nothing", but that's not officially confirmed yet. There's also a group number with Rachel, Kurt, Mercedes, and Santana, as seen in the promo.

We Know "I Have Nothing" is in the episode, and we know who's singing most of the other songs, and we know Kurt has a solo, soooo....

I wasn't a fan of the way Will made Santanna, Mercedes, and Finn choose their career paths within a week. They're only 17/18 years old. If you absolutlely know what you want to do at that age, then consider yourself lucky.

Yeah, the entire concept was ridiculous.

The whole episode was just...... ugh. Calling it terrible might be a compliment, considering just how ****ing bad this episode was. I don't blame folks for not tuning in last night.

I turned it off after Finn turned down Puck for the pool cleaning business. The episode was just so boring.

I thought the scene between Will and Finn after he found Finn had dumped the pamphlets was pretty good and Santana and Mercedes delivered good numbers. The sex tape thing was stupid on many levels.
The new mellow Sue is fun and the guy playing the transgender guy was good, especially if he isn't actually transgender, but that storyline seemed to come from nowhere and didn't really provide any build to the central characters heading to their graduation.

The way the writers are making Brittany stupider by the minute is so sad. And she is most likely failing which makes me even sadder.

True. I thought they were going to improve on her after she won class pres. but they just go in total reverse. I am surprised she still remembers how to speak or dance.`

Like others said this was a rather boring episode where not alot happened to push stories or develop them other then 3 kids being forced down career paths when they should be focused on atleast college. I really couldnt remember much about the episode once it was over. The whole transgender thing was rather uneeded and creepy because I didnt think it was possible for someone to have a more girl like voice then kurt. I told my wife if I was trying to get people involved in watching glee this would not be the episode I would show. I know the show tackles hard hitting issues but when I was in high school I didnt know any transgenders or have teachers forcing me to make career decisions. I just focused on atleast going to college and taking it from there. On a side note can we not have these weird people from the glee project coming on the show for meaningless stories, its rather distracting. I actually forgot they were going to nationals til someone brought it up. All they keep talking about is graduation. On a side note when finn said to will on about are there any career paths that involve being young, did anyone start singing the toy r us kids song in there head lol?

My roommate was convinced Alex Newell was actually a woman and they just made him look like a guy for his "Wade" scenes.
He did greatly enjoy Boogie Shoes, but then for a gay man my roommate has some weird "thing" for big sassy black women...

Was he one of the winners on the Glee Project? I thought all the winners have already made their appearances.

He was the last one. Kind of ironic that he and Lindsay had the briefest appearances but showed the most charisma in their musical numbers, while Damian is practically a regular now and is boring as a post...
For what it's worth, while it was random and pointless, I thought the transgender storyline was handled with a modicum of dignity and they weren't unintentionally offensive about it like they are with some other "issues" they try to tackle.

Damian and Samuel (Joe) won the Glee project, Alex and Lindsay were runners up and only got 2 episodes. I was rooting for Lindsay, and I'm still hoping her character somehow joins New Directions in season 4.
