Best one vs one fight in the X-Franchise?

I think the Weapon XI and Deathstrike Fights were amazing.

Well, he was like that in the cartoons also, but always had a pack or two of cards to back him up, he even had his staff most of the time. I expected him to at least have another pack of cards on him in the movie.

Just thought I'd bump this thread as I watched the Wolverine movie the other day and I have to say the end fight has grown on me a lot, its still not as good as some of the sequences in X2 but I felt this one action scene in Wolverine was really the only one that got my blood pumping in the movie, the choreography was very well done.

I though the Deathstrike/Wolverine fight was the best fight interms of choregraph and action and length, but for some reason i enjoyed the Wolverine vs Mystique fight the most, i loved how it started with Mystique posing as Wolverine than Wolverine comes out of nowhere to grab mystique and than from than on it was mystique giving Wolverine a ass whopping.

I liked the Sabretooth fvs Wolverine on top of the statue of Liberty, it should have been longer, but i thought it was a great fight, i loved when the camera panned back and you could see Sabretooth just manhandling Wolverine in terms of size and strength, something that if eel the Wolverine movie failed to capture with there version of Sabretooth.

Schriebers Sabretooth was almost smaller than Wolverine .....That really ruined all the fight scenes for me.

Wolverine vs. Deathstrike....It was the only fight long enough and brutal enough to rank as number 1.They need to make a R-rated Wolverine so we can really see his berserker rage in all its glory.

Personally I think these fights are extremely under-rated, personally I prefer to anything in X3 and Wolverine, with the exception maybe of the final fight in Wolverine which was well done.

I like the choreography in both of those fights as well the way Mystique especially moves and fights was great I thought.

I didn't care for the movie as a whole, but the Weapon XI vs. Wolverine fight was extremely cool.

Say what you want about it, but there's no doubting the action scenes in WO were awesome.

Definitely enjoyed the Wolverine/WeaponXI fight the most, but unfortunately it was more than a little help from Creed, they fought together as a team through most of it.

But as comic book fights go, that and the Nightcrawler scenes are the only one's I could imagine being cool in a comic too.

The Wolverine / Mystique fight, ugh, just something puts me off, the way she creepily crawls up backwards. Just off to me. And in the same vein that Gambit should have put up a better fight against Wolverine, Wolverine sure as hell should have put up a better fight against her.

Wolverine vs Mystique.........Logan getting his ass handed to him should have been from Sabretooh...but I thought the fight had a few stylish touches, and loved the bit with Mystique changing from Wolverine into herself in mid-air-kick(?) LOL...

I think Toad vs Storm should be changed to Toad VS X-Men (or maybe VS Storm and Jean @ Liberty Island, and maybe VS Cyclops @ the train station)...he was able to go toe to toe with a good chunk of the team (Jean and Storm), who are also considered fairly powerful, by himself on Liberty Island, and was almost successful until he focused solely on Storm and let his ego get the best of him, and although it wasn't a fight between him and Scott, Toad was able to gain the upper hand at the train station by removing Cyke's visor, a smart tactic to avoid a fight if you think about it.

LOL IMO I think Toad should be the unsung hero of the Brotherhood of the 1st film......

They totally transformed the character from the comics in such a kick ass way.

I really wished he would have come back for x2 or x3 or even seen him in the First Class prequel.

I have to say that in general, and apart from a few good moments, I find the action scene's in X3 severly lacking, I feel they are the worst of the series by quite some way.

Totally glad they eventually re-vamped the comic version after the movie version too lol...

...I wish Toad was in X2 like he was supposed to be, IIRC i think the plan was to have a Toad/Nightcrawler scene?

^There was indeed, they were meant to have a big fight scene I believe during the climax of the movie, that would have been great to see, especially as both characters were superb in the movies.

Right, we have had a allotment of activity scene's in the X-Franchise so far, so for now, I will just focus on the one on one's as we have plenty to choose from and some have been great, others havent. alright, I cheated a bit throwing the finish vs Weapon XI as Creed is engaged in that furthermore, but, go ahead and choose your best one vs one battle scene in the franchise so far, there are abounding to choose from, so some thought perhaps needed .

The tool for fighting XI fight is likely the best one-on-one battle imo (well, one-on-one when he battles Wolverine, that is). Wolverine vs. Gambit could have been a competitor if it was long sufficient (Jeez! Talk about not understanding how to draw out a good scene - they actually dumbed down Gambit's battling abilities in that!). I would state that the general best battle view in all of the videos was Nightcrawler's infiltration of the White dwelling. Awesome sauce!
