Yeah. I hope this flicks destroys the box office in foxs expectations. At least it seems Fox has been trying the past year. Hopefully we hear good news soon.

Either Fox is waiting for him to show what he can do with a comic book property (this would be his first feature film) or they just stopped caring about Deadpool...

This does not bode well...

To be honest I gave up on Deadpool happening a while ago, this and a venom movie, though I'd be pleasantly surprised if they did happen

Venoms starting to look like the one to bet on on.

The new rumors about First Class 2 shooting in the fall this year doesnt look positive for Dedpool either, I really doubt Fox is gonna have three X Movies in production by this year.

Hell If first Class sequel starts filming this fall I am wondering If even The Wolverine Is having troubles.

Tim Miller directing another film Is just another sign this film Isn't happening. They had director and still no schedule.Bad sign.

Im thinking that as well. Wolverine is the bigger money maker between it and First Class so something must be up if their thinking bout ditching that one. Fox likes the money.

Beautiful sculpture! I love it. Also I actually kinda like the indentation of the black circle part of the mask. It being a thinner or more constrictive material would make sense of how he's able to be so expressive through the mask.

I've heard from sources that Miller still attached/committed to Deadpool but I admit it doesn't look good when he goes off to do something for another studio. Presumably he's tired of hanging around while they decide exactly what they are doing.

The film needs an R rating and a low budget (to ensure it still makes profit). It doesn't need to be 'epic' anyway, we don't need to see cities falling down, so it shouldn't be hugely costly.

I'm also told Wolverine will go into production this year, we'll have to see if that happens. He's supposed to be doing it before he moves on to Prisoners.

Even Ryan Reynolds has said Deadpool needs to be down Cheap.

With The Wolverine filming Is suspose to start In July after Hugh Jackman finishes LM.They are suspose to do studio work In vancouvier and slit location filming between
Vancouver and Tokyo but can they be done so he can promate LM in December.Since Fox announced the release date nothing has been reported on The Wolverine.

I have always believed If Deadpool didn't go Into production this year It Isn't happening.

for anybody who's read the script, do they draw any plots from the comics? like the whole mithras directive? because I would love to see that.

I hvnt read the script, just know from what Ive heard and read online what its about. Sounds like they are faithful with his origins with Ajax and The Workshop. The rest I think is Deadpool getting revenge on them and his relationship with Vanessa and also Colossus who keeps tabs on him for the X-Men. I didnt read the script so someone correct me if Im wrong. Goen off what others have said. Joe Kelly just did an interview with MTV and says his stuffs in there, so that should be what all us Deadpool fans want to hear.

Interview with Joe Kelly
http://splashpage.mtv.com/2012/03/23...-writer-movie/

Quote:
"I’ve actually met with some of those guys over there and talked to them about the movie. From what I can tell, they’re aware of the fan reaction to how he was played in 'Wolverine' and are working very hard to make sure that he’s given his props," Kelly said. "There’s definitely elements of stuff from my run that’s involved in the film. From what I’ve been told, I think it’ll be awesome. Deadpool is a fantastic character, and if Ryan Reynolds still does him, that’d be really great."

Joe Kelly was the first writer tasked with penning the "Deadpool" ongoing series back in 1997. His initial run on the book was immediately met with positive reception from critics and fans alike. In fact, the series was supposed to be canceled by issue 25, but an online petition created by fans of the series got the cancelation overturned. Kelly worked on "Deadpool" up until 1999, leaving the series after writing 33 issues.

Steven T. Seagle, one of Kelly's "Man Of Action" cohorts, had this to say on the matter: "I just want to make the world understand that most everything people love about Deadpool, Joe Kelly made up."

"But regardless, [Deadpool] really does stand on his own," Kelly said. "He's such a cool, legitimately tortured anti-hero. And it would be kind of a nice shakeup for squueaky clean superhero movies that people have seen. So I sincerely hope it happens."

Yea, Joe Kelly's run is the definitive work on the character. And they are right, I think the industry needs a movie like Deadpool. A cheap, nasty, hard R action movie that takes all the tropes and cliches of the superhero genre and burns them to the ground. To appeal to the people who think Nolan's Batman movies take themselves way too seriously, but also to people who think what Marvel is doing is a bit too campy and colourful.

In the script i read, there is this really great montage of how Wilson discovers he has powers. Think the first Spider-Man movie where Peter is trying out wall crawling and web slinging. But just really, really twisted and morbid version of it that is hilarious. It kinda reminded me of Monty Python or something. Just something so absurd and painful but you can't help but laugh.

I mostly recall his search for the cure to his face and the holiday montage

Sounds good to me. Is he beating the **** out of himself to see how much his healing factor works? I can see comedy gold there.

Imagine a picture of Hugh Jackman's face, cut out and stapled to Wade's face... on a packed commuter train. Now just imagine Wade opening a window and sticking his head out.

There is funnier ones.

Anyone think they might give Deadpool a cameo in The Wolverine? Maybe the studio could include a real version of the character to appease the fans until he gets his own movie?

We got our "cameo" in Origins. Look at how well that played out.

I'd rather they don't try and touch Deadpool until it's actually the real thing, in his own universe, away from Foxverine.

Granted, it's still Fox doing it, but I rather they outright do a low budget faithful movie than to try and shove him on the big bucks movies and market him as something he is not for kids...

Yeah I dont think they are gonna touch a Deadpool cameo. Although if he was full outfit, mouth running and guns blazing I dont think people would complain.

The lack of news and start date is depressing. If this version doesnt get made its safe to assume its gonna be pg-13 and no Reynolds for sure. After watching American Reunion gotta agree with the other main fan choice of Sean William Scott as Wade if Reynolds leaves. Hes best with R rated comedy as well though.

Still holden some hope this project comes through soon.
