Got this yesterday, played a few hours of it and while it does feel like Prototype.. To me, it feels like what Prototype 1 SHOULD have been.
If that makes sense. |

Co-Op would have been great for this game, picked this up yesterday and I agree with you guys, this is what the first Prototype should have been. My only one gripe is, did they really have to make Heller the stereotypical angry black guy? come on, we're not all angry........just some of us lol

Hellers rage does make sense, I will say that. He's not just randomly rage killing.

Picked this up yesterday & I've done a handful of missions however to tell you the truth, I've not been sucked into the story or game as I was with the first. The missions feel kinda repeatitive as well thus far. Consume someone to get into base, consume commander to get inside, consume a scientist to get through another door & finally consume your target to get to know whatever it is they know. Theres no stealth involved either, the Blackwatch guards seem perfectly fine with me jumping about 30 ft in the air right in front of them or running along the walls but the second I bring out my claws or grab someone by the throat that's what's giving me away.
I don't surmise that I'm that far into the game as I've still a handful of stuff to unlock for Heller like speed, regen, health, finishers etc however thus far I imagine I'll complete story & trade this in.. unlike the last one were I went through the game twice & spent endless time decapitating infected & destroying helicopters & tanks. |

I've been doing alot of the side missions and collecting black boxes. I figure I'll just level my character up as much as I can then continue on with the story missions, but yeah overall alot of the missions play out the same.

I didn't feel like I had to be that stealthy in the first either. You could run up walls and jump however high in the air and no one batted an eye.

Re: 'Prototype 2' to be confirmed at Spike TV Video Game Awards!
I just got to the green zone, love the combat, better than the first one.

From what I can remember you didn't in the first either, but I assumed that because this is a new game they'd obviously make improvements in that area to make the game abit more challenging. Thus far though I have to say this feels very like the MW2/MW3 situation in the sense that the game feels more like Prototype 1.5 rather than Prototype 2.

I do feel that they notice things a bit more.. You go into caution a bit easier than in the first.
I've said it feels to me what the first Prototype should have been. Which I guess is why I enjoy it a bit more. Sure things feel the same but I'm OK with that. The medals are also less annoying to get. |

Completed the game fairly easily I might add, there is no mission or enemy I fought that I found to be majorly challenging. Even the
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Also did alot of the side mission things & you can level Heller up that much that you feel very powerful, if possible even moreso than Mercer in the first one. Overall it's a decent game but it doesn't feel that different from the first game.. visuals are no better & alot of the missions contain the same sort of theme/idea. The stealthing/alert is still a problem, Blackwatch guys are perfectly fine with one of their own running about on walls or leaping about 100ft in the air, but the second you lift a car or grab one of them by the throat, that's what sets them off. I'll be keeping this game at least until the 10th of May as I bought this game with an Xbox 360 & I like the Heller avatar outfit you can unlock on 10th so I'll have that. Then I'll probably trade it in.. possibly against Max Payne 3 although I was going to get that on the PC as I have done with the other 2 Max Paynes. |

I disagree about stealth being unnecessary, consuming the infected mission required stealth to finish fast enough without pain

Started playing, finished the hospital mission, and here's what I think of this start:
