I think the reasoning for that is that, unfortunately, they don't make for good television. The loud, crazy, and sensationalists, are the ones that bring in the ratings. Not the tame, sane, and well reasoned.

But, your criticism can be applied to any party or school of thought.
Returning to topic, has anyone read The Gates of Gotham? If so, is it good?

Well duh. Fox News gets the most obnoxious conservatives, MSNBC gets the most obnoxious liberals, etc.

And yes, it's quite good.

Because they're the most interesting.

It's the fact that they can rouse such anger and vitriol inside clear-thinking people that gives them their power and influence.

And Batman must get the entire Bat family to join forces and learn the dance moves for an epic Lady Gaga tribute act to defeat the Penguin and his fellow rogues and their almost unbeatable performance of Cher's greatest hits

I'm definitely down for Flash and Green Lantern's. Superman's sounds... Interesting. Playing in a space game show.

Didn't bother reading anything about the Detective annual.

I'll be getting the annuals to books that I'm buying, which so far is pretty much everything but Detective Comics.

Honestly, I'm starting to think that 9 of the titles I'm buying right now are on the verge of getting cancellation announcements next month.
