Yep, and I am the only one who bought his figure and lightsaber. Thanks for proving his point.

That's true. But he wasn't the hero. I don't think.
The prequels are a mess, so it's hard to tell.

If you can't tell Qui-gon was the hero of TPM the prequels aren't the mess, your brain is.

Anyway, I think killing Batman won't put off kids from buying stuff, if it's done in a heroic manner. If he dies Departed-style, then yeah, it's over.

It is less about merchandise then it is about traumatizing children. If Batman dies brutally, that ain't easy to explain to a kid.

Kids don't care. ''Bobby, you want me to buy you a Batman figure?'' ''No, he died in this film I didn't even understand!''
Seriously? Batman is cool as hell, and kids will play with Batman toys regardless of what happens in this film. |

So you're going to insult me? I would argue Obi-Wan was the hero.

What's there to explain? They'll get over it. In a few years there will be another Batman series.
Kid's will still by the toy. They'll dress up as Batman as a tribute. This argument is so unbelievably foolish it makes me itch. Batman can die on film, however he won't in this film. A lot of why I don't think he will is because of this fanboy entitlement that he needs to live because the love the character more than everyone else and they'll feel personally offended by it.

And you would lose that argument, painfully.

Only because you know what he becomes. If you think about it, Obi took control at the end, at which point he barely saved himself. QuiGon did everything, Obi was just following orders and was being a sidekick in fights.

If he dies, he'll die in a heroic fashion, so no probs.

You do realize Obi-Wan pretty much goes missing the entire time they are on Tatoonie right? That is like a third of the film.

Qui-Gon was the one who discovered and chose to train Anakin and went through tonnes of crap with the council etc to do so, Obi-Wan was negative for the the main part of the movie.
