Well, the 100 day mark was missed. But we have 97 days left to go before the games begin! Oh, how I wish I could be there.

You may not be hyped now, you may not be hyped tomorrow, but you will get caught up in the excitement when the U.S. starts to dominate in every event.

I'm looking forward to soccer, swimming, diving, gymnastics, rowing and canoe/kayak.

What is everyone else looking forward to?

This Olympic Games will seal the legacy of American Track and Field Athlete Allyson Felix, even though this probably won't be her last Olympics. She will either go down as one of the greatest American athletes ever or one of the best to have never won a gold medal.

Maybe we'll see another event discontinued this year due to American dominance.

He's not talking about medal count. He's talking about the IOC getting rid of events such as women's softball because the US would win every time.

Probably Women's Basketball because the Women have won every Olympics since 1996.

I still don't know why hardball is not an event. Latin America, Japan, and North America alone are enough to make a great tournament.

Darts and Snooker should clearly be an event. The British would destroy it for everyone else!

I think men's hoops is safe for now. Its way too popular for the IOC to get rid of it.

I use to be excited to catch the Judo tournament every four summers but since the IJF banned so many techniques in the last four years... f**k it.

Swimming, I guess now.

Ah, yes. The Olympics...or as I call them, the global d*** measuring contest. Remember kids, it doesn't matter who wins the most gold medals. All that matters is who has the most nukes.

I find it interesting that the face of the sport of track and field is Jamaica's Usain Bolt. The sport is so irrelevant in the United States, that they don't even have a homegrown star. The closest thing to a homegrown star the United States even has in the sport is Allyson Felix, however, that even has uncertainties. She has the attractiveness (and therefore marketability) and the talent, but lack of individual gold medals and an uncertain future after the London Games (although she'll only be 31 when the Rio Olympics start, which is around the same age as Jamaican star Veronica Campbell Brown is now) may throw a wrench in plans by USA Track and Field to make her the face of the sport in the United States.

London will define Allyson Felix's legacy. She will either go down as one of America's greatest track and field athletes or one of America's best track and field athletes to have never won an Olympic gold medal. The legacies of Bolt and Campbell Brown are pretty much sealed as two of the greatest sprinters in Jamaica's history and two of the greatest in the sport's history.

I am highly expecting Aussie Sally Pearson to dominate the women's hurdles at London, ending back to back American gold medals. The way she looked last year was sensational (and I think she had a much better performance than Bolt at the World Championships). Silver and bronze will probably be between the host nation's Tiffany Porter, the Americans and (maybe) a Canadian (Priscilla Lopes). Only way Pearson loses is if she slips up.

As for the host nation, I think Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah and Yamile Adama give the Brits their best chances for Olympic gold. Porter has an outside shot.

For all of the British posters on this thread, what is your opinion on Porter (American by birth and residency, American and British citizenship), Shana Cox (like Porter is American by birth and residency and has dual US/UK citizenship) and Adama (Cuban born, formerly represented both Cuba and Sudan). They seem to be getting a lot of heat from the British media for being "Plastic Brits."

And what is the status of Dwayne Chambers anyways? Is he still going to be banned from competing in his home country's Olympics?
