Awesome trailer, watched it three times last night. Aside from the already amazing cast, the film itself looks great. Looks like we may have a winner.

Stellar trailer. This film has been one of my most highly-anticipated films of the year and the trailer has certainly increased the level of anticipation.

Guy Pearce, as a scummy detective... major win!
Tom Hardy, as a badass... win! Gary Oldman, shooting a tommy gun off of a ~1928 Caddie Sedan... epic win! This looks so good. Love that cgi'd ~30's Chicago skyline.

Well this snuck up on me, I took one look, saw Shia labeouf in a film called lawless.... automatic "meh". Then I saw the trailer.... cannot wait! Guy Pearce looks an almost certain scene stealer!

Don't mean to **** on Shia's acting ability, but seems very much out-classed by just about every other actor in this movie.

Him being out acted by the people around him is not surprising. But he still gets unfair hate from the Transformers movies that is carrying over.

The Transformers movies as a whole get too much hate. For **** sake, they're not trying to be high-art, people. Stop treating them like they should be. They're fun.

I have to say, it amuses me how much people on this forum lean on their respective fandoms, as if *they* created those films, and not the actual filmakers who, y'know, actually made them. It's like they are saying "eh, *I* am Nolan, *you* are Micheal Bay!" haha, it is pathetic. How about you rustle up the guts to try creating your own fiction and lean on that? Oh, of course, it would probably be crap, don't want to be trying to do that, might actually mean something in relation to you as an artist, as opposed to these kinds of conversations where you can go about pretending you are responsible for such and such a film, haha

It would be really funny if he blew them all off the screen, haha, because, y'know, there are a lot of factors that go into creating a great presence onscreen, and he *can* actually act.

Pearce is the one that impressed me the most in the trailer, I didn;'t even know that was his ass at first.

Cool posters.
Nice to see Guy Pearce getting a bit busier. Lockout wasn't a very good film, but he was awesome in it. He's got a mysterious role in Prometheus. And now this where again, he looks awesome. Been a big fan of his since LA Confidential. |

I really admire his choice not to use a body double.
