Whoa wtf!? How did she kill them? I think the Netflix version cut that out because I don't remember that part. I guess it's just been awhile.

Also, I was watching I Saw the Devil last night. So many brutal death scenes in that. The part where the bad guy takes out the two guys in the cab was f***ing amazing.

Damn, I think they cut that out of the Netflix version...unless my memory is just failing me. I remember they cut her boyfriend's dick off though.

Well, you don't see it very clearly. If I remember right, the lighting is really weird.

I remember an awesome death scene in Takeshi Miike's "Ichi the Killer", where in a subjective shot one of the characters gets his neck twisted and the camera twists with him. With the cracking noise on the soundtrack, it's a very effective and simple shot that made me cringe.

I love Boromir's epic death in Fellowship of the Ring. Such a badass, redeeming way to go out. Taking all of those arrows and refusing to give up.

I don't know if its been mentioned yet, but the children's author's death scene in Argento's Deep Red is amazing. Righetti is so overcome with terror as her country home grows dark. She knocks over the birdcage and her pets turn on her. She stabs one with a crochet needle. Next, she takes a hatchet to the back and crawls into the bathroom, where her attacker drowns her in a scalding hot bath. It's great.

Oh yeah, another great one is the first on screen murder in the original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The young man approaches that sliding metal door, sounds of a squealing pig or something of that nature are heard behind the wall. The door is thrown open and Leather face appears, raises a large hammer and cracks the guy on top of the head. He lay on the floor, twitching and dying, while Leatherface lets out some kind of disturbing squeal. The butcher drags his kill by the feet into his workplace and slams the sliding door shut. BAM! Great horror movie death scene.

Yeah, you're right. But Doom Generation is much older than Hostel.

I've thought about how I'd like to die if I were in a film, and I keep coming back to Maximus in Gladiator. Restrained and stabbed in the lung. Then fighting in the arena in an injured state, and still beating the opponent. Going out on top and dying by default, not because of incompetence or lack of skill, but due to actions beforehand.
