I really liked Luke Evans as Zesus he was the only one in the movie that actually gave a worthwhile performance.

![]() Haywire A fast paced action spy thriller that really delivers. Gina Carano plays a perfect female heroine and do what she does best, fight. This is the type of spy thriller I was expecting from the bore that was Tinker Tailor Solider Spy. It had that neo-noir vibe to it which was fantastic, the music was something right out of the 60's. Overall the story is short and straight to the point but it was effective. 8/10

Watching Punisher War Zone
Why take out the lights to light your torch? And it blinds everyone in the room but the one holding the torch. Where're the sneak attacks?

Thor
I liked it enough to want to see a sequel. I thought most of the parts on Earth were dull, Portman phoned it in, and Loki and Thor were the only multifaceted characters. Too bad the best action sequence was the first one. Pretty lackluster final fight between the brothers. I wouldn't mind if the sequel hardly takes place on Earth in and Jane is never heard from again. Now, regarding The Avengers Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:

The Divide Wow, this was messed up. Like Lord of the Flies meets Reservoir Dogs. I love Xavier Gens' fetish for awesome looking, yet completely impractical futuristic combat gear. Fellow Sci-Fi fans rejoice, Michael Biehn was awesome in this!

This was the first movie to ever make me cry. The only other ones to do that were Titanic and What Dreams May Come.

Think Like a Man
![]() I started to keep count of how many times Steve Harvey's book was shown, and how many times his face popped up to explain his book but after the 8th or 9th time i gave up. Fortunately an extremely likeable cast helped me get past Harvey's infomercial moments. When it focuses on the lovely ladies Meagan Good ,Regina Hall, Taraji P.Henson, and Gabrielle Union attempting to get their boyfriends Michael Ealy,Jerry Ferrara,Terrence J and Romany Malco to cut apron strings, commit, and advance in life is when the film excels.Kevin Hart steals every scene he's in.In fact Hart can just walk into a scene and get laughs. Some great cameos, some that are far to brief. All of the nods to Harvey's book were not necessary though.Sure the film is based on the book and i can understand one or two references to the book, but the nods seemed endless and took me out of the film. Why not just let the film just flow? ALAM still manages to entertain despite its flaws. Scale of 1-10 a 7½ The Five-Year Engagement ![]() Where should we have the reception? Who will we invite? What kind of cake should we serve? These are some questions that might keep a couple up at night when planning a wedding. The happy couple Tom Solomon (Jason Segel), a sous chef at a fancy restaurant, and Violet Barnes (Emily Blunt), a psychology major in The Five-Year Engagement are plagued by the question When will we actually be able to get married? Segel and Blunt have great chemistry and we watch them comically go through various unforseen occurences that prevent them from reaching the altar.Segel truly stands out when he enters depressed wilderness man mode. As the film enters its last half hour i started to feel every drawn out minute and i started to think about scenes that could have been cut to give the film a better pace. Funny film but at least twenty minutes could have been cut to make it more of an enjoyable romp. Scale of 1-10 a 7½ |

Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie.
Ok, sue me, but I head a rush of nostalgia, so I watched it. Pretty bad, though.

![]() You know, I was worried of being disappointed due to the fact after the years of build-up, what if it this ambitous idea might not work so well as one hoped, after all this movie could’ve stayed being something only a fan dreamt of, I’m more than happy to say that my worries are gone, and that Whedon chose to tackle this. He has successfully brought the comic-book experience to life with this movie, kudos to him, it’s a well-executed summer popcorn movie that entertains one from start to finish. The core of what the movie works, the interaction and banter between the characters is much more organic than I would have ever hoped. You can tell Whedon really cares deeply for the material, and his passion definitely showed on-screen, the group dynamics to the humor, it offers a lot of freshness in that rhythm, it’s just a genuine fun film, it’s elements not normally found in these types of movies that makes the movie stands out, and that it does it so well. The cast members did a fantastic job with what they're given, they could've easily make this a mindless action flick, throw in a lot of action scenes and having no character arcs but not here though and for that I'm thankful. Every characters has something to work and overcome to be a part of the team. I don’t think I have to talk about Downey Jr. much, he delivered his lines with ease and his charisma is irresistible, Whedon worked so that even someone like Black Widow and Hawkeye, characters not so major compared to others have some material to work and that’s good. Hiddleston delivered a great performance and makes the villains side memorable than it actually is since the army, it’s just something that’s put on for the sake of an enemy that the team has to fight against and nothing really more. As a Hulk fan, I just have to talk about Mark Ruffalo, he’s a scene stealer, his debut couldn’t have be any better, like Norton, there’s a Bill Bixby’s Banner vibe to him yet he make it enough to make it his own version by working with the dramaturgical expectations one associated with the character while injecting some humor into him, especially when he’s letting it loose and bringing out chaos as the Hulk, easy enough to say that he’s definitely one of my favorite parts of the movie, I’d more than love to see a solo Hulk movie with him. The pacing was good but there’s some parts where it felt off though, the beginning introduced the backstory in case for the new viewers so it takes time before it really got started and even though I wanted the inevitable action scenes to happen quickly it’s good that they didn’t rush into it, what I meant by off is the 2nd act but it's a minor complaint since when they came to the finale they certainly threw everything they got in it, I find some previous Marvel Studios movies weak in the third act but I can’t complaint that it’s the case here, it’s a crescendo and every minutes is such a joy to behold, also Whedon did justice what make an ensemble works well, together and that every characters has their time to shine in the battle, suffice to say you’ll get your fill of action, that matter is clear, despite some aspects I found weaker than the rest I’m happy with what Whedon has delivered, I had a blast watching the film and I could definitely feel from the atmosphere that the audience I was with had that too. I imagine that it’d be hard for a fan to be disappointed from this. Oh, and the post-credits scene, nerdgasm. 4/5
