Does the work have to be made specifically for this contest, or can we use something already in our portfolio?

while we prefer things made for the contest, if it's something recently created we usually allow it and long as its not a published work or has been entered in a contest before

Hawkeye was meant to be in it... however, after i designed him my buddy said it would've been to hard to drop him in... I was pretty bummed but he did make it into the poster for it

My version will come in late Avengers - as the movie team into a comic-like adaption
Starting with thor though He's a bit goofy - While costumes may be similar they'l be more my style - I do have a sample of thor up in the forum I set though Whole image will take awhile

3D render, done in Carrara. I posted this scene in the Avengers fan art thread before, but for this, I re-did the texture on the hammer and the bump map on the shield, so it's technically a new picture.
