According to Major Nelson, the first episode of the game will be available on XBLA this Friday for 400 MS points. I haven't bought the first episode yet but will do that most likely tomorrow.

Bought the season pass and played the first episode today. I must say that I went with moderate expectations and it definitely surpass it. I love the fact that not only your action has consequences but your dialogue choices as well. For example, the other survivors will treat Lee (the character you play as) and speak to him in a way that fits the demeanor you have chosen for the him. There were a few minor problems I came across, but it isn't severe. Once the credits rolled, I was left craving more. I'm hooked.

How big is the episode? 1.5 hours, more or less?

I finished it in just under two hours and I explore everything, so 2-3 hours for sure. But considering the various choices offered, I'm certain the replayability will be quite high (the full game, that is).

Yeah, I just played the demo, and it surprised me how much a choice affected something. For example, if you choose to leave the house at night, some characters will leave the region with you. But if you choose to leave at afternoon, a totally different scenario happens and different characters go with you. It really has a lot of replayability value.
I'll buy it as soon as I can.

Hm, gonna have to pick this up. Not sure if I'll get the season pass via the PSN or just get each individual episode via xbla

Finished the first episode and I must say I'm impressed as it turned out to be better than I expected. It focus as much on the characters as the comics, throwing in some action here and there in the mix. I really hope that the decisions you've made matters in the long run, and I think it's a nice touch adding the characters from the comics, even someone like Lilly.

I played the demo and its not what I was expecting at all. I expected more of an action type zombie shooter and not more of an adventure game. The art style is also an interesting choice. For what I played, I liked it and appreciate that it isnt a regurgitation of the tv show.. I wasnt feeling the controls though and wish they had added Move support to the PS3 version. I think the pointing could have benefited from that immensely, especially since it isnt an action intense game. As it stands, if I ever decide to pick it up, I would be more inclined to get the PC version for the mouse controls. Analog stick just doesnt seem to work as well

loved it! The art direction was perfect imo - The game isnt too intense of even gamey, so it has to rely alot on the writing.... and damn the writing was good

Yea i think I'm gonna pick this up tonight.
Is the control scheme similar to Back to the Future? Or are we dealing with something else?

Left stick moves your character. Right stick moves your cursor and the face buttons are action buttons.

I was pretty shocked with the choice you have to make between the two people you have to save early on.

Picked this up, really liked the tone of it. Felt like I was in an episode of the Walking Dead. Wish I could play the rest now.

Yes I agree, the second time you do it, I thought that was a no brainstorm. I love how when you finish they tell you the stats of your choices

So do one of those choices really happen? Does the kid actually get killed by a walker?
I kinda figured they wouldn't go that route, i mean i chose him just in a snap type decision.

That one makes no difference, which really isn't surprising as Hershel's son needed to die regardless to fit the canon. Though I do think that and who you support (Ken or Lilly's dad) effects how Ken feels about Lee later in the game
