It wasn't just an AA. That at the velocity and height Lesnar was at while jumping towards Cena, the impact from the chain would be brutal. Hell it busted Brock open.

Honestly, the chain still wasn't enough for me after the absolute mauling cena takes the entire match. Shoot, this may have been a good time for a good old "STF and choke him the heck out cause he won't tap" bit. I just don't think a chain shot and an AA should have kept that monster down. I mean he was destroying him, and then the chain and the AA and it's over. I rather the match had been a little longer and Cena had done more, kind of make it a blow for blow remake of Rocky vs Drago from Rocky IV.
I've got to hand it to Cena for tonight though. I usually hate his selling, or lack there of, but he brought it tonight. He really made it seem like Lesnar was killing him, and Brock looked darn good considering how long it's been. Really good match, just wish it was a little longer.

people forget brock lost his 1st ufc fight but he came out looking stronger than frank mir who subbed him because brock beat him down and dominated him and got to comfortable and got caught in a leg lock brock came back won the ufc title and then avenged his loss by whooping frank to a TKO
same thing can happen here |

Don't forget it's "Monday Night Raw starring Brock Lesnar."

So after thinking about it for awhile. I'd say Sheamus vs Bryan stole the show. It was both guys best match in WWE in my opinion.

First, thanks for the help with links to all who sent them lol.
-I'm still shocked Brock lost. I'm glad he looked dominant, and it was an awesome match, but if Cena really is taking time off, wouldn't it be smarter for Brock to win? Let him take Cena out and go nuts creating chaos for a couple month before Cena returns with a new attitude to get revenge and stop him. It's not even the fact Cena won, but that he did it in true Super-Cena fashion that bothers me. He got absolutely destroyed for like 20 minutes, just to come out of nowhere and win with what was like only his 3rd offensive move all match. At least Brock looked dominant and can claim he may have lost but still destroyed Cena and put him on the shelf. Looking forward to seeing what Triple H is going to do tomorrow, have a feeling it has to tie into Lesnar's ridiculous demands from last week. -Punk and Jericho was AWESOME. Those two can have at least one more match before I get sick of their feud, they really work well together. One little thing I liked was them wearing street clothes. Little things like that can help sell the non-existent differences a "street fight" supposedly has to a simple no DQ match. -Very let down that Kharma didn't come back, even though I'd obviously much rather look at Layla. Hopefully Kharma returns tomorrow night to squash the Bellas into oblivion if they are in fact on their way out. -Sadly, I got out of work too late to see Bryan/Sheamus. I'll be looking all over the internets for that tomorrow after school and before Raw (STARRING BROCK LESNAR). Even though I didn't see it, it sounds like they finally got a chance to show what they can do. Both deserve it. Hopefully putting on an awesome match like that can take some heat off Sheamus. I'm a Bryan mark, so I love the support he's got, but Sheamus isn't the villain here, the booking was, and it sucks how this could kill his run because like Bryan, he's a good, solid, hard worker, who deserves a real shot with the belt... I am however still worried where Bryan goes from here, but he's too good and too over to get massively depushed or booked into obscurity. |

They pulled the Taker/HHH ending from last year's WM.
The Bellas are leaving? Why God why.

Because.. if you paint their faces green they could star in a remake for the wizard of oz (with their witch like noses and long pointy chins).

Yet they want to apply the logic to this match saying Cena winning was the wrong decision. I might be inclined to agree, but witnessing their thinking process is so...

Yeah, Cena wasn't going to lose two high profile main events back to back (yes, I know about his feud with Punk from last year, but that was a unique situation so it doesn't count), but I was fine with him winning. Like somebody said, they both came out looking strong. The Mir comparison is almost spot on.
As a wrestling match, I thought their Backlash 2003 bout was better, but in terms of storytelling / psychology, their rematch excelled in that and will be remembered for years to come. Quote:

- WWE posted the following on their website after Extreme Rules:
CHICAGO – John Cena's victory over Brock Lesnar came with a steep price, as WWE.com has learned the Cenation leader suffered an injured left arm in his Extreme Rules Match against the wrecking machine at Extreme Rules in Chicago. Lesnar made it a point to punish Cena's arm in their hotly anticipated bout in Chicago's sold-out Allstate Arena, trapping his arm in a Kimura Lock halfway through their show-stopping clash. And while Cena – who also took an elbow in the opening moments of the match that split his head open – beat Lesnar by a narrow margin with an Attitude Adjustment on the steel steps, it appears he has ended up the worse for wear despite the victory. "The most obvious injury was the laceration to his head, which caused a substantial amount of bleeding," said WWE locker room physician Dr. Chris Amann. "He also has suffered a shoulder injury. Initial testing in the training room leads me to believe there may be torn muscles, possibly a torn rotator cuff or a biceps muscle." Unfortunately, there are no specifics available as to the extent of Cena’s condition, although he is still scheduled to appear on tomorrow's Raw SuperShow. Dr. Amann told WWE.com reporters that doctors would be conducting additional tests in the morning to determine the full scope of Cena’s injuries. http://www.pwpix.net/pwpixnews/headlines/337769614.php

Cena won , so it's still called Monday Night Raw. Right? I'm ok with Cena winning because they both look strong coming out of the match. Brock supposedly broke Cena's arm, he should still have momentum. I wonder what happens with Jericho now. |

If anyone is to beat Brock Lesnar, it might as well be John Cena. I'd rather Cena defeat him than the Rock anyways because Cena is a full time guy and we know he'll still be with the WWE a year from now. The Rock will be off doing movies again, and Brock will be doing whatever.

Also, there has got to be a reason Triple H is coming back tonight. To me, he's the type who doesn't just show up one week and doesn't return to TV for another month. He's the type that has to have a reason to come back.

I hope this means Brock vs Triple H or Punk. We could have Triple H backing Punk while JL backs Lesnar over who will be the face of the company.
Also it's good continuity for Triple H to show up tonight. |

Too soon for Brock vs. Triple H and Brock vs. Punk. I'd actually hope that Brock vs. Orton comes true for Summerslam as right now his status as the #3 face in the WWE is very loose (especially after the performance Sheamus had last night).
I cannot wait to see Lord Tensai squash JTG tonight.
