It should be scaled up! It's his wife, after all.

I really liked Hades' design. It's his design without the mask that I didn't like.

Having Kratos as a boss? That could be awesome. But he already crawled out of hell 4 times before. It like his second home now, so it'd be pointless to kill him.

I wouldn't mind if someone brought Deimos back and, as him, you hunt Kratos down. It would be different and against the grain, but cool IMO.

Yeah but if they were to go that way the question which i think would come up a lot would be who would the other Bosses besides Kratos being the Main Antagonist ?

IDK. Maybe he is tasked to compete in a set of trials to prepare him for the fight with Kratos. Each trial is a game level and it gets more difficult as he progresses. Each trial will end with an appropriate "Boss" for that trial. It could be a made up character or recreated versions of the Gods Kratos has killed? Or other Gods (i.e. Norse) fear Kratos, so they rescue Deimos from Hades. The "Bosses" could then be Gods or Heroes from that mythology. I'm just making this up as I go though, lol.

Gameplay footage will be here today at 8am Pacific.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/...t-we-read-181/

Multiplayer confirmed.

Quote:
Sony has confirmed long-running speculation that the next God of War game has multiplayer.
God of War: Ascension has online and offline multiplayer battles for up to eight players. There are a variety of multiplayer modes, customisable avatar warriors, armour and weapon types to unlock. Eurogamer's Johnny Minkley saw it in action for a God of War: Ascension preview, published today.
Multiplayer "combines the brutal gameplay and large-scale battles that God of War is known for to create a competitive experience like never before", Sony said. According to game director Todd Pappy it's a "fresh twist" on competitive gaming.

But the game has single-player, too, this time with a "revamped" combat and weapon system, "promptless" mini-games and new puzzles. Sony mentioned "fluid, life-like characters, dynamic lighting effects, and world-changing scenarios".

Pappy told Eurogamer Ascension's campaign is "just a little bit shorter" than in previous God of War games. "We've mapped out everything and given time estimates. It'll be pretty damn close."
And lead combat designer Jason McDonald insisted that single-player has not suffered as a result of the addition of multiplayer. "We didn't want to sacrifice single-player for multiplayer, neither did we want to tack [the latter] on," he said. "We're definitely going full force with both."

As for the story, Ascension sees players assume the role of Kratos as he tries to break the blood oath that binds him to Ares. Since this is a prequel, we get to see a younger Kratos, one driven mad after being tricked into killing his wife and child. In the game Kratos "seeks to break his bond and gain the clarity to seek revenge on Ares for his part in the death of his family". Helping is his signature double-chained blades.

Prediction: tons of complaining about MP being in the game and how its going to ruin the SP

Personally I welcome it. After 5 straight games of pretty much the same thing, the formula has gotten stale. Im interesting to see how they switch things up and offer something new which the previous games did not have

When I saw that GoW gets MP, I didn't know how to react, I was just laughing internally.

Multiplayer looks really interesting in that vid i cringed when the cyclops jaw was cut down the middle. The graphics looks pretty good but the lighting seemed off it was really bright kinda hurt my eyes. I look forward to hearing about the other multiplayer modes.

For the first time, I'm not interested.
I've been crazy for GoW for quite some time, so it feels weird to say that.

Makes me wonder if they'll release this game this year.

Nah, GOW is usually always in March. It has to do with the "Ides of March".

Multiplayer is interesting but I'm disappointed to learn that this will be a prequel only. Enough damn prequels

I thought that was the hardest part. Try to use the Medusa (one of Hades souls) to freeze the Satyrs and break them.

I have been. But the Gorgon sometimes doesn't freeze anyone. And when it does, I get gangraped by dogs and the Cerberus before I can get to them and destroy them.

Yeah, it's really tough. I did it in Chaos mode, so it's even tougher, but it was the only way around it for me. I saw video on YT of a guy doing this, so I tried until I succeded. It was really frustrating, but I got there.

There might be more strategies now, try Youtube or google it.
