I'm a little bummed the metacritic score is down to a 71 currently thanks to the recent crop of mixed to negative reviews from top critics. They haven't added the AV Club or Michael Phillips reviews yet though, so that should help it go up a bit.

Very nice -- Morris just won the Pulitzer for his film criticism. He's one of the best out there. Take that, Armond .

I hope he uses that "superhero movies don't get much better than this" line in his print review. Would look great on a poster or ad. Not that they need much help in that regard.

The only heavy hitters yet to weigh in at this point of the NY Times and Ebert, right? I'm gonna say one of them goes negative, I'm just not sure which yet.

I will be utterly shocked if AO Scott gives a positive review. Expect something along the lines of the Salon review, only with slightly less obvious contempt.

Didn't someone in this forum reported that Ebert likes this movie and is giving it a B+? Since LA Times loves TA, I hope their East Coast brethren would like it as well.

There's probably a good 18-20 of the 'top critics' left to weigh in. Not counting Ebert and A.O. Scott....

AO Scott liked Captain America. He didn't like Thor. Which of course seems to be the trend for critics. He could go either way on Avengers. I expect a barely positive review.

I expect the guy from the Wall Street Journal to hate this movie. Other than that, I don't think there are any obvious Top Critics that are guaranteed to hate Avengers.
