Pretty much. Her dad was involved in a criminal conspiracy that DD took out and he ended up killing himself. She was quite the booze hound too which turned Matt off.

Sammy Silke....the guy who outed DD and Ceasared the Kingpin. He's an alright character, but I dig him simply because he's the catalyst for one of the best DD runs ever.

If all anyone in the world had were conventional weapons, I'd agree with you. But there are like a billion nonlethal means of handling problems in the Marvel universe whether you have powers or not.
