They are just really cynical and violent. He didn't used to be that bad though. He had a decent run on Fantastic Four and his Superman story, Red Son, where Superman landed in Soviet Russia instead of Kansas is one of the best Supes stories ever.

But yea, stuff like Nemesis, Wanted, Kick Ass, pretty harcore and violent, but in a juvenile way. The film of Kick Ass was toned down, believe it or not.

Until he figures out how to exploit their weaknesses, and use them for his own purposes. That might make for a good story though.

Invincible (Image) - Handle Everything
Black Panther (Marvel) - Handle Everything Else
Sephie (Crossgen) - Talk Down the violent ones with power of Love, also, epic heals
Death (DC) - Handle any ridiculously powerful cosmic people that don't respond to things like 'matter' and 'energy'

It doesn't hurt that I love these characters.
