And I'll believe a Tron 3 is coming out when it's being filmed.

Green Lantern was released here in Brazil on 08/19, in my city (a medium town), it was out 2 weeks ago, but they re-released this week in 3 sessions (all 3D).

It seems a desperate attempt to raise money.

I can. The word has long been out and audiences generally agree that it simply isn't a good movie.

I'm the guy everyone knows with the Green Lantern shirt. The people I know that had negative opinions have said "Yeah, I heard Green Lantern sucked. Sorry, dude." and the people I know that have seen it liked it. But that's just a small group of Marylanders.

Are you sure? The last time I checked, the movie made $98 million foreign. That was before this past Sunday and after last Saturday.

If you look over at BoxOfficeMojo you will see that the reporting dates for a lot of the foreign markets are as of 9/4/11, which was the weekend before last. Heck, the film just released in Japan this weekend and they haven't reported the take for that market yet. Like I said before, the results do not include this past weekend's box office.

I believe it does, BOM updates total foreign take after the weekend but they just haven't broken it down for each individual country/region yet. That comes later in the week.

This film was dragging it's ass since day one box office wise. If Superman Returns couldn't get a sequel, no way Green Lantern will.

I think it will get a reboot, but basically everyone associated with this film is gone.

This is by far the biggest summer flop and it's not even close, when you consider how much they promoted the film. Sure Conan bombed more, but there was very little done to promote that film, and as bad as Conan sucked it was cinematic gold compared to this green piece of ****.

The good thing in all this, is that I think Ryan Reynolds will be reluctant to do any more comic book films. Between this and that other stupid comedy he did this summer he's virtually destroyed whatever shoddy reputation he had as an actor.

The reason this movie bombed and, didn't do so well, was because the director didnt have no idea what he was doing. I felt he was the wrong director to direct this type of movie. Warner brothers blew it big time with the way they Promoted the movie, Ryan reynolds was a bad choice to play the title character. Ryan Reynolds was better off playing the flash.
