Actually it's kind of unfair to compare them because Hulk and Banner were treated as two different characters.

So I'm pretty sure Thor got more screentime than either of them did seperately.

She'd be like 100 years old now. Steve's been in cryo-stasis for 70 years. I think it'd be a real stretch to have her still alive. Maybe just doing a scene of him visiting her grave would be more realistic. You could sort of get into the Superman type territory where the hero has to deal with everyone around him dying long before he does.

As time marches on, you've got to have him frozen for a longer period of time to get him into the current day which means less and less people who knew him would realistically still be around. Sooner or later Cap is going to become like Demolition Man origin wise.

My great grandma, who died this week, lived to be 94. Peggy was probably fairly young, so her being over 90 still works.

In May 2011 the Dep. of Veteran's Affairs estimated there were still 2,079,000 WWII vets out of 16,112,566 total US service members still alive. Further, they project that there will be 855,000 still alive in Sep. 2015 and 112,000 in 2023. (estimates midway down second page)

So it's easily within the realm of believability that Peggy could still be alive.

Wasn't Peggy at least an officer-level in the SSR? Not sure she'd be any younger than 30 at the time she met Cap.

It was slightly less than 70 years from TFA to Avengers. But, I would guess she would still be about 90. I doubth she was only 18 in TFA. More like early twenties.

Rogers dancing with an older Peggy can be quite the emotional scene if they choose to do that in CA2. If executed well it can get the waterworks going for me.

Heck the scene where Rogers is saying his goodbyes with Peggy as he prepares himself to crash the ship made me tear up a bit and not many movies do that for me.

Evans has been somewhat of the unsung hero of these movies. Loved him in Avengers (one of the strongest performances in the entire movie).

It's ok, LOL! She had a good life. Not gunning for sympathy points or anything, just showing an example of how long people can live. Peggy to me looked like early-twenties. No more than like 24/25, so it is still plausible. Cap's freezing was slightly less than 70 years, so that wouldn't make her quite 100 (more like 67 or 68 years).

Most of those vets were likely late teens or early twenties at the end of WW2 in 1945. Peggy was an officer level ee in advanced science unit of the military which would make her at least 30, not to mention the war wasn't even over yet when Cap went down in the North Atlantic. (1942)

Although even if I just use your numbers for basis of comparison, that's only 12.5% of the vets still alive, which means there's almost an 88% chance that Peggy has left this mortal plain.

Even though it would be emotionally powerful to see Steve reunited with Peggy, I'm not sure it would work on film. Hayley Atwell is just too buxom and healthy-looking to convincingly age into a 90+ year old woman, and it wouldn't have the same impact to recast an ancient actress to play Peggy. I think there should be a scene where Steve visits Peggy's grave, or her home, and meets her children or something, but that's it.

And I hate saying this because I am 100% in love with Hayley Atwell. She's the bee's knees, as someone Steve's age might say.

I don't know many late 80-90 year olds that walk unassisted, let alone dance.

I want Cap dealing with a world that's moved on. He should probably be visiting Peggy's grave and meeting her granddaughter instead.
