I've worked at a retirement center and I can gladly say we had plenty of the women who were in their 80's who could walk and dance just fine. Even a 95 year old German lady who was more lucid than me or you and could walk perfectly.

We had dancing events for them and a whole lot of them could slow dance with ease.

I don't blame people here for not knowing seeing as not everyone has worked in an elderly home.

Hmmmm, nah. He already has the shield. I think he needs something to contrast against the team. Thor and IM already have armor, yanno?

Also, he'd presumably be less acrobatic for the stuntmen wearing the costume.

I just think it would make more sense in terms of durability. But then again, we don't know what his new suit is made of...it just looked flimsy to me. Fashion over function.

Hm yeah, The Avengers suit didn't look terribly functional. BUT, it did look very symbolic, yes? I mean maybe I'm just seeing something that isn't there but Cap definitely LOOKED like a beacon for the team with his colors.

Not sure, but she did a fantastic job. I didn't want to say it because I don't think anyone else feels the same way, but her thanking the team was the emotional peak of the movie for me. The other contender being the stained baseball cards.

Listen if you don't Cap to meet old Peggy that's fine, to each his own. I don't care either way. I think Cap visiting her grave would be just as emotional. But this isn't real life, it's a movie and drama doesn't much care about statistics.

We're talking about a world with super soldiers and magic hammers and green rage monsters and imo in a world like that the idea of a military officer living to a ripe old age isn't that far-fetched.

Nah. It was just a really, really great moment. Seriously, that ending montage of everyone celebrating TA is one of my favorites in the film. Very rarely do we see heroes in these movies celebrated like that.

And personally, I really don't want to see Sharon involved. As much of a Cap fan as I am (by far my favorite Avenger and tied for my favorite comic character), that relationship just never sat right with me.

There is supposed to be a deleted scene from AVENGERS, where earlier in the movie she serves Cap when he is dressed as Steve at her restaurant and she flirts with him.....that's why she gives him that look at the end when she finds out that the guy she flirted with is Cap. So yeah, there is a possibility she can show up in Cap 2.

No, it is because it is better from a writing standpoint. Her being dead is sad, yes. But, you don't see the contrast that an elderly Peggy does. When you see Peggy old and gray, you SEE her journey to where she is now in contrast to Steve's. You also see a human reaction to her finding out the man she loved, who she thought dead, is alive. And he doesn't look any different. It's far more sad and emotional if she is still alive.

I get all of that but I can do without the sappy melodrama in a cbm.
