Yeah she would be a better choice than Jessica Alba.

Rachel looks horrible as a blonde though. She's just going to look like an older "Regina George"

When someone decides that it's time for the FF to return to the big screen, I think that it should be done in the manner of a 50s/60s alien/monster sci-fi film. If I don't have your approval yet, please let me continue. The world of the Fantastic Four is full of characters that frequent the pages such as The Watcher, Galactus, The Skrulls, Mole Man & The Moloids. These are characters in the vein of the aforementioned genres. The FF themselves consist of a scientist that can elongate his entire body, and even form shapes, a superhuman rock-man, a woman who becomes invisible, and a boy whose body becomes engulfed in flames. These are elements that fit in those genres.
I would take Jack Kirby's artwork as a template for the look and all, with the main antagonist being the Mole Man leading an invasion of Moloids thru New York City, and would even have the monster depicted so iconically on the cover of the first issue with a shot that re-enacts it. If there's anything The Avengers has taught is, it's that we as fans prefer the fantasy aspect of the comic books. Nolan's Batman world is great, and The Dark Knight was very successful, but there's only so far his "realistic" take can take the characters. Now, I wouldn't go as far as doing shotty editing and such, but more just the style and tone, kinda similar to the first Hellboy. I'd even recommend someone like Guillermo Del Toro for a project like this. Also, for those wondering, I would not begin with an origin. I would only go thru that in flashbacks for now. Also, can we please get a Sue & Johnny that aren't so close in age? Well, that's my proposal. Input and criticism are welcomed. |

And in order to not have them close in age, we'd have to stop trying to make them both hot 20-somethings.

I just don't personally want a F4 franchise to stand completely alone. Not anymore... I want it to exist in the same world as other films (other than X-men). It's a novel Idea... but It's just going to seem more cliche' imo to hop on the 60s theme bandwagon of Madmen, Playboyclub, Pan-am, first class, etc (list keeps growing)

Budget for a CGI thing is a must if you hope for one - let's see if Fox is up to that - they have not been yet!

Thanks. I think it's the right thing to do.
About Doom & Reed; you're preaching to the choir. However, for the first film, I'd suggest Doom take a backseat, and not be a key antagonist. |

I love to see Stallone provide the voice for Ben Grimm, although I'd also like to see Grimm's actor mo-capped on set and Syl doesn't seem like he would go for that.

Oswalt is a great actor, but not for Mole Man. Foggy Nelson please.

Ben Grimm is more eloquent than Stallone though. Stallone would make Ben seem a bit dumb, which he isn't. You really need someone who is a good actor with a knack for words and wisecracks. Stallone isn't the most articulate and would have trouble with some phrases.
