Ummm they were talking about him for human version of Ben Grimm...

In that case I retract my statement and submit a big NO! for Ben as well.

eh Acles would be fine for barely shown "pre thing" but... for CGI thing i'd actually really want Chiklis to voice him again, he sounds like the perfect Thing imo.

^This. Casting Ben Grimm to already look like Thing misses the point. Thanks for that Fox.

Me too! I thought I was the only one!
1. I was thinking this was way past the school days, so I actually think he'd be great as Ben Grimm. 2. Of course you're not the only one. The teenage Johnny makes a lot of sense especially for the idea I gave on the previous page.

As expected, Fox seems unwilling to commit to new FF or Daredevil.

I could see Jensen Ackles being Johnny Storm, actually, if you aren't obsessed with Johnny being a 14 year old sidekick.

Nah, he's a little too buff. I'm kind of going with a hybrid of 616 and Ultimate. Not making them as young as the latter, but about in their early 30s, with Johnny being about 16-17.

That's a *big* age difference between Johnny and Sue. Unless you make them half-siblings, I don't see it working.

Well, in the early issues, Sue seemed a lot older than Johnny.

Ackles would have made a great Johnny when he was younger, but he's too old for the role now.

My Fantastic Four Dream Cast is as follows

Edward Norton as Mr. Fantastic
Sarah Michelle Gellar as Invisible Woman
Alex Pettyfer as the Human Torch
Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The Thing
Director: Brad Bird or Joss Whedon

Its odd that other Marvel teams have gotten good movies, but the FF haven't. If the X-Men and the Avengers can have good movies, why hasn't that happened with the FF? Are the FF harder to do?

Well, in some ways, they are harder to do: unlike the X-Men, the Fantastic Four are based in various cosmic affairs and explorations. That's difficult and expensive to do, moreso than most mutant stories. I suspect that's part of why the first FF movie was almost pure family comedy.

The F4 has been half-assed so far by FOX.

A good way to put it. I see each of the members of the F4 as sidekicks in a way, unable to be a prototypical hero on their own, but together, they form the greatest superhero team ever. If Johnny is the typical hero, without some significant handicap, then it, like the last FF franchise becomes his movie. Like the X-Men movies were Wolverine's movies. Contrast with ensembles like Avengers, where everyone is awesome, and totally dependent on each other and has a story arc. I'd like the latter for FF, and I just don't see that happening with an adult Johnny.

The thing is, FF kinda is a family title, which is why for the sake of both that and adult fans, I proposed the idea I did on the last page. (Yes, I want everyone to read it. Hehehe.)

Just because the FF is about a family of heroes does not make it a "family" film - it needs to be as "family friendly" as IRON MAN or THE AVENGERS was...

You know Fox is comparing their FF movies to the Avengers and trying to figure out why it worked and theirs did not - I doubt they will be able to do it - - -

I'm not saying it should be a kids movie. That would be a terrible move, but it's not comparable to Iron Man and The Avengers, especially not Iron Man, because Iron Man has dealt with serious social issues. I just wouldn't go as far as to make an FF movie a brutal PG-13. It's really a thin line to be honest, which is one of the many reasons the Tim Story series failed. I do agree that it should be TREATED like the Avengers was, in that it was really a treat for the fans that know exactly what they're watching. FF previously failed to let us know who the 4 are, and yes, the previous 5 Avengers films gave us time to get to know the characters already, but even with that, they still went further into maintaining getting to know the characters without really boring us with an explanation to something we already know.

I think Zac Efron, Jake Abel, or Hunter Parrish would be good for Johnny

The FF have gotten extremely dark, mostly due to Doom's involvement, but they get just as whimsical at times.

I just don't like the idea of Johnny being a teenager. why the hell would they let a teenager go into space? I don't want to play the realism card, but even in a fantastical world it would just be stupid to let a teenager go into space, unless he's some child prodigy or something. Is Johnny a prodigy and I missed something?
