Time for S.W.O.R.D to make an appearence?

Would you like to see Sword appear in an Avengers sequel?

I would like to see it. Who would you like to see as Abigail Brand? I'm not usually the type of person to cast Whedon's Angels in roles in his other movies but it might be a good role for Morena Baccarin.

I was actually expecting to see an easter egg on SWORD and/or Abigail Brand in this movie. Kinda surprised Joss didn't plant one.

But yeah, I'd like to see SWORD. And they definitely have a great excuse to develop that branch now.

I dunno...im usually up for anything Marvel related making it to the big screen, but we already have SHIELD established as the "shady government" types in the Marvel Cinematic Universe...is there really room for another?

I might be wrong but didn't SWORD first appear in The Astonishing X-Men comic the Whedon wrote, so maybe Fox owns the rights to that organisation?

If Joss went with one of his standard players, I could see Eliza Dushku as Brand moreso than Baccarin.

If we're casting previous Whedon actresses for Brand I'd like Amy Acker.

How about Gina Torres? I can't really see her with green hair, but I doubt the Abigail Brand of the MCU would be half-alien anyway.

That's a pretty neat idea. Definitely would make her character a little more interesting at the very least.

maybe that job is setting up SWORD headquarters.

It would certainly give her something to do that wouldn't nessecarily be "damsil in distress"

If her and Abigail were the heads of SWORD it would also give them some strong female characters which most of the non-Avengers movies seem to lack.

Yes, Don't remember the exact quote, but basically that's it. It does seem to fit perfectly. Maybe we'll find out more in Thor 2

They definitely need to give her a little more depth. Her character is just.....meh, so far.

What she lacked in depth she made up in surface....She was a realistic love interest for Thor cause she wasn't overly enamored with the abs and charm....Thor had to be a real person to win her over.

Worked for Thor 1....gotta do some more with her for a sequel though

As for Brand, I was thinking maybe Carrie Anne Moss could play her.

Put her in her Matrix outfit, only green (with SWORD logo obviously) add green hair, and I think it could work.

I think you are on the right track.....I'm under the impression Abigail is a bit younger than CAM currently is....but that isn't saying they can't make her older.

truthfully, my thinking with CAM was that this brand would be a veteran SHIELD agent who wound up getting the opp. to head up SWORD. Plus, CAM can actually act and I'm sure she can polish her martial arts even though she hasn't really used them (that I have seen) since her matrix days.

Even if she is 'younger' in the movie than her actual age..don't really see why that matters.

Brand was 28 as of 'Secret Invasion', according to a Mike Carey tie-in. As you say though, ages are flexible.
