Something's amiss when the runtime is only shown on the IMAX listing and not the regular one...

Let's keep in mind that Nolan had Wally watch BB and TDK in IMAX before giving him the script for TDKR. Wally said it was a massive script.

Perhaps the suits panicked at the Avengers' massive box office intake and forced Nolan to shave off an hour.

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks most of the footage for the second act is lost somewhere, in a taxi or something.

Here we go again.

If the runtime isn't on WB's Exhibitor site it ain't official.

The second act was never filmed; only in the dreams of Christ Nolan.

Whilst this runtime is ridiculous, part of me wouldn't be surprised. They pandered with the whining about Bane's voice, I could see them pandering about the criticisms of how TDK was "too long" and how essentially "the whole third act should have been cut"

Puzzling, then, why they didn't pander to Bale's Batvoice and kept it still as is.

It sounds better in TDKR than it was in TDK just from the two lines alone.

Guys, stay calm. There is no way Nolan will make the finale the shortest movie in his trilogy, why should he? And why should WB execs force him to cut the movie down to under 2 hours? For them Nolan is a cash cow he can do as he likes. As long as he doesn't make Batman a black gay muslim, I guess.

That's because the lines were short. He wasn't giving speeches.

Except it's a very small minority who thinks that. TDK is one of the best-reviewed movies ever.

If they really wanted to pander to the fanboys, they would have hired some WWE wrestler to play Bane.

and they wanted a desaturated, gloomy palette; they complained TDK had too much colour, and Nolan delivered.

At CinemaCon Nolan said 1/3 of the film is in IMAX. Do the frickin' math on that. lol We know there's nearly an hour's worth of IMAX in the footage in TDKR.

If they had pandered and changed Bale's Bat-voice I would have been very disappoint.

Or had The Penguin and the Riddler as the villians.

The washed out colour scheme seems more in fitting with the tone of this movie than BB's comic-booky brown or TDK's blue colour scheme.

I actually like the fact that you can clearly hear Bane in the 3rd trailer. It is a little too clear like they used a gate on it so that when he speaks it drops the volume level of the music. If I had to chose Banes voice from the 1st trailer or the 3rd as what we will hear in the final movie I would take the 3rd trailer voice.
This reminds me that I have been watching old movies with the closed captioning on lately and Im amazed at how much better I can understand the story when I can understand what everyone is saying.

From what rashad has said, I think it's fairly obvious that the runtime isn't final.
