I love The Other Guys too.

For Keaton alone it was worth it.

I actually had it as summer reading my senior year of high school.

Needless to say I dominated the discussions about it.

But, I'm with the crowd that saw the movie before reading the book, and as such, I can appreciate the film very much as its own thing, as I think it's extremely well made.

Keaton was great but for me, it was this scene that made the movie:

I don't think loving The Other Guys is considered an unpopular opinion. I really really liked it too. I haven't laughed in a long time with a comedy.

There was one in 2008 and you didn't visit.

I'm a trifle bitter.

Not under C_O mind you but I was all up in these here forums.

~Staying on topic tho...

I cannot enjoy a LOTR movie.
I don't understand the appeal.
I don't agree with Liv Tyler's face.
Even Viggo can't hold my interest.

ok i'm gonna say it. i hated scott pilgram.

while the film was beautifully shot and some aspects were humorous the story to me was bland and repetitive, the characters were annoying, the nods were as subtle as a sledgehammer and while not entirely the movies fault( as apart from one exception in my real life i had seen the movie before i experienced they're response) the fan bases self righteous attitude that it was the second coming of citizen kane just pissed me off

I went to see Scott Pilgrim at midnight, and literally said to my friend (it was zer00 actuallyv for you hype history aficionados), "this theater is filled with a bunch of ****s."

The next day, I learned that 5 of my coworkers were in the theater at the time. I felt very sheepish.

Oh, I don't have a problem with the movie.

But you have to admit, the Hipster following it has is nigh unparalleled.

Oh I agree, I mostly encounter theater and entertainment geeks regarding Scott Pilgrim though; I avoid hipsters at all costs.

Keaton, to me, saved the last 3rd of that movie when it was waning down and a lot of jokes kept missing, but then Keaton came to full form with TLC and Bed, Bath, and Beyond jokes like a wish come true.

Yep, it was funniest movie since the hangover, until 21 Jump Street.

That is now the funniest movie I've seen since The Hangover.

Which cop movie do you guys like better, 21 Jump Street or The Other Guys?

I really liked Scott Pilgrim too, but I will admit that there are some fans that are too obsessed with the movie.

I just don't like her face. It's weird. She's a good actress though.
