Are we talking about looks here? Cuz I see Starfire winning this match up (power-wise).

How so? They're about the same in strength. Speed. But Ms. Marvel has one thing Star doesn't. All those energy blasts she'll throw at her, Carol will just absorb. Making her more powerful.

I don't see the energy absorption being a huge factor here. Kori is quite intelligent. Upon seeing Carol feeding on her energy, Kori will just proceed into brawling with Carol, and Kori will edge out from there, in my honest opinion. Furthermore, Carol doesn't have great control over her energy absorption.

Plus, I don't think Kori could take her what with those Kree combat instincts and all.

Eh, even so, Kori is known for her powerful brawling skills (she favors them too), and in the end that is what prevents this match up from becoming a stalemate and/or Carol achieving Binary. Kori would just be too physical for Carol to handle. I'll take Starfire 7 out of 10 times.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree then. To me, those Kree combat instincts wouldn't mean squat in battle against like someone Kori. After seeing what she accomplished against Donna Troy, there's no way I see Carol being able to handle her.

I don't see why. Donna Troy ain't s**t either.

However after witnessing Donna's retcon, she was basically a carbon copy of Wonder Woman.

She looked like her. Not as strong, fast, or awesome though.

Donna was still more powerful than Carol. Troy was able to engage Wonder Woman in physical combat alot better than in the past. It's why I believe Kori's win over Donna is a massive factor.

I think you severely underestimate Carol.

I believe it's the other way around. Kori has been overlooked for quite some time now and the New 52 didn't do her character any favors.

Kori's fighting skills and strength levels are above Carol's. Ms Marvel's only chance would be if she acquired Binary.

Brawling can't match up against skill if both parties are physically equal (roughly). Kori might be a great brawler, but Carol's been trained to fight effectively. I also feel Carol has the edge in sheer power too, but that's a point of contention.

It's more than just brawling. Kori has beaten Donna Troy two out of three times (most recent retcon Donna being near power levels of 100, while Starfire is nowhere to be seen in the 90s) and Donna herself has admitted to stating that Kori is the superior fighter.

I just don't see how Carol could beat Kori in a fist fight.
