Bamf has a friends who's seen the movie. He dropped clues in the tusi earlier, and it seems nobody picked up on it, due to the GoT discussions going on.

I agree whole heartedly with your standpoint. I too, agree studios need to rethink how they should put out their movies. Unfortunately, the numbers are what makes them decide on what to shoot in terms of business.

I can't stand 3D. I really find it unnecessary to watch everything in 3D. It's just more of a marketing scheme for amusement park type thrills. For a handful of the summer blockbuster movies out there, it's understandable as that is what they are catered to.

Sadly, i despise everything advertised by studios as 3D, imax and soon 48FPS. It's just not worth it. Everything fun about movie going becomes lost. Quality of movies are lost. I just want to watch my movies and be sucked into the characters and the story. It's supposed to transport you to another world and, sometimes brings out something more deeper.

Most audiences that pay extra for these post converted 3D and imax movies don't understand that. They buy into the gimmick. They let themselves believe the hype and that's why 3D (whether it is shot or post-converted) and faux imax will continue to thrive for awhile.

I have to convince & explain to people why i don't want to see these movies. But they don't think that way. They'll believe whatever the media advertises to them.

I come from an art/photography background and i see the difference. Which makes me part of the monologue side of the debate. But digital media is just 'economically cheaper' for studios and is profitable. Which seems to me a contradiction. How is spending $200,000,000 on these spectacles using digital cameras and a year or two on CG cheap???

Just my two cents.

Though, as a staff member, I'd hardly think that I'd go around spewing information that I know is false. I know very little, which is why I like to speculate just as everyone else here does. Many people who have "inside" information like to boast about it - they like the attention. That's not my thing. Besides, I've said several times that I don't know much. And you've got to take everything with a grain of salt when talking with "sources". I've been scorned in the past... and while I trust my buddy, I understand there's still a possibility he could be feeding me false information. But the fact that he's been pretty quiet about it with me suggests he is legitimate. If I get information that I believe to be completely factual, I'll state that. Otherwise, treat my posts as speculation.

First post, longtime lurker. I'm talking back to the craze with the viral around comic con '07 when we were fighting for the teaser, just never actually made an account.

I've got a question for Gil/anyone potentially in the know- what's the status of double screenings for TDK/TDKR back to back? Last Gil mentioned it was in march I think, saying they're deliberating between doing an exclusive deal with AMC, etc, but the likelihood it'd be real IMAX is low.

Just wondering if there's any kind of update as of yet. Gil, you've been supplying info for ages and ages, I've been following your posts on here for years, your contributions to the batman community are amazing.
