So I received the Bane coat yesterday. Awesome duplicate, but it was a little bit big for size M (should be fine if you got bigass Bane-armmuscles).

The wool inside the coat was too white. Any suggestions that I could do to make it dirtier/lightbrown/used? Like this color:

Yeah take it outside and throw it around multiple times in the dirt, Trust me this will dirty it up real quick like and make it look the same color as the one in that picture

RDMAUL....question for you about mudding up the pads on the vest....will the airbrushing work if the color is brown and the material is leather.....to get it to look more silvery and metallic??

False Tom Hardy is 5' 10" and I would guess in the movie 215-220 and hes wearing 3" lifts in his boots

Leather is harder to work with airbrush paints, the material on my vest accepts water based paints better cause it soaks into the material.Plus the metallic colors are even more water based because of the metallic flake that gives it the color. I would use the paints directly out of the bottle with a brush instead of airbrushing it, use Acrylic water based paints

Damn Tom Hardy isn't that much bigger than me. I knew we were roughley the same height (I'm about an inch taller.) but he is only about 10 pounds more than me and he looks so much wider than me. I guess that's the magic of cinema.

God damn dude

Thank you for the sand/dirt tip. I will do it as soon as the rain has stopped here :/
But I have another question regarding the Bane coat. How do you suggest making the white fields/spots on the coat?

http://i.imgur.com/3eJMB.png

Using some kind of tool to scrub off the brown color to make it fade away/white? I'm not sure what tool that could be used and not damage the coat.

Yeah you could try using steel wool to rub down the outer areas of the coat or just plan drag it on the ground....I would find a smaller surface to test this out first but steel wool might be your best bet.

OK update on the boot makers, they only made Anne Hathaways boots for the movie BUT they said they would be willing to make a screen accurate pair. I sent them some screen shots of the boots and will let you know when I get the ridiculous price back that I am sure to get.
