Didn't know it was coming out Wednesday as opposed to Friday. Doesn't look entirely entertaining, but I did laugh a little at the extended clip.

Sacha needs to stop this schtick. Stop making these faux documentaries about the unlikeable personas you make up, please!
It's no longer funny. I didn't laugh once at the red-band trailer for The Dictator. |

Got a chance to check this out at a free screening last week. Its a full on movie and not a faux documentaries which I think hurts cohen in the long run. The movie had some great parts but most were in the previews like him taking out the trash, terrosit helicopter bit and talking to a womens certain area while pulling a baby out. But overall no where near as good as bruno or borat. I like him better in the faux documentaries and putting people in awkward moments. I kinda got a Zohan vibe too while watching this and I didnt think it was possible to make Anna Faris look like a boy and ugly but this movie did it. Overall 6.0/10 but could have been alot better considering what weve got from Cohen so far.

Anna Faris is always offputting and unlikable.

I've got a lot of respect for Cohen, but this doesn't look funny at all. He should try serious acting for a while. He's got the talent to do it.

She's got a knack for screwball comedy, man. Not many females can say that. Females that are well known in the industry at least.

If he had not dropped out of Django Unchained he could of been in a series of future Tarantino films.

He'll be a child-abusing corpse-robbing criminal in Les Miserables, so that might be a proving ground.

Sacha hasn't done me wrong yet, so I'll probably check this out. Though I'm no particular rush given all the huge summer blockbusters coming out.

I doubt it was significant of a role if he dropped out for press. |

Dont get me wrong the movie was funny but I chuckled more then I laughed out loud like I did during bruno and borat. I just think he does better in faux documentaries then real movies that he headlines because some parts of the movie felt forced. Last edited by marvelman2006; 05-15-2012 at 06:40 AM. Reason: m |

Sacha jumped the shark when he became too famous to fool people. It's sad, but the guy can't pull off faux docs with every agent knowing his face and wise to his routine.

Lots and lots of chuckles for me, but few belly laughs.
6/10 I will be working in the "execute him" gesture into my daily interactions somehow. |

Funny movie but the joke gets old fast. Good review Spideyfan93, I pretty much agreed with most of it. Go Mets.

I could tell that they did a lot of reshoots and ADR for this one.
