^ Why would that be an announcement from Universal?

The best thing he said in that is that it was a 'micro' movie in a way. The problem with Thor is that you often get stories so big, to the point of Odin headbutting Galactus, that it becomes nothing but abstract ideas. There is no character or motivation shining through, things happen because it looks good or it sounds cool and that is not enough

All I ask; is to see Thor go up against a Villain where he has no emotional ties to so that he has no need or intent in "holding himself back" like he had done to some degree when having gone up against Loki in their previous battles.
Unlike the rest of his Avenger teammates, Thor has not been shown to really have a BIG EVIL enemy outside of his brother that we've seen him encounter in the MCU. The closest thing was Loki's own father Laufey, and the only real things that they traded between each other were words. |

Speaking of which, if Surtur is as strong as I've read people saying that he is, how come he's never been considered as a "Avengers villain"? I mean I get the impression that he's a lot stronger than Thor, to the point where I've read some saying that he'd be the right person to "kill" Odin if Odin had to make a exit from the MCU.

Honestly he's more of Odin's enemy than he is Thor's, but with Thor being the "hero" of course he's going to get in on the action.

I'm a 19 year old male with fair hair (I read on another site they're looking for people with lighter hair) and a muscular build, and I'm gonna be in London at some point this summer. How could I get in touch with someone and apply to be an extra?

I call bull for these reasons
-The names listed for Ant Man includes fan favourites and frequent Wright collaborator Pegg? Too Easy. Also, two lads mag favourites with very few hit credits to their name for the female lead, Marvel doesn't do that. They get Portman, Paltrow, Tyler and Johansson. -Batman in Iron Man 3? Please. Geek cred+previous with the director= easy balls rumour -Whedon is trying to get his pals jobs at Marvel and Marvel are so desperate to keep him they do it? Also, the Hulk is not dead at ABC yet. They are saying they think it will be ready for next year. - Every medical doctor is now an Astrophysicist? Come on now. Also, Thor 2 is packed already, why lumber it with another character fit to be a lead to distract from the core stories and why would this new random colleague of Jane's be taken to the 9 realms with her? -Atwell as Carter is a fanboy dream although it would be interesting if they kept her British and if they don't wimp out and make her a good patriotic all-American girl. -Black Panther in Avengers 2? Its always Black Panther as a follow up to Avengers at Marvel in other media. They want to keep the original team or close enough to it and then add diversity ASAP in all the animations we've gotten. I'm guessing this follow up arc is a rumour right out of Ultimate Avengers 2 and EMH.

I heard from a friend she saw someone on tumblr saying it was confirmed Thor 2 would be Chris' last outting as Thor. I call BS on it because it doesnt make sense to me. This tumblr also didnt site a source or link to anything. And I've never heard anything about it. But what do you guys think that might mean for the MCU if it happened? (Which once again, I dont think will happen for a good couple movies.)

1. Thor/The Avengers is what put him on the map. Not to mention TA is becoming one of the biggest movies of all time. 2. He has a contract with Marvel to play Thor at least 6 times 3. He knew going in that he would be asked to play Thor for as many films as Marvel signed him to so why back out now?

So if we're going by the trend of "Thor", I wonder how the sequel will lay the groundwork that ultimately shakes up the core of the MCU given on how the events of "Thor" led to some of the major things happening/taking place in "TA".

Yeah, since it seems like Marvel likes to stick with their basic models they set up for the films, it seems like Asgard is the table-setter for the big events that happen in the rest of the cosmos, for the MCU that is. Maybe that does lead to the Gauntlet being taken by someone (and hopefully the Eye of Agamotto as well, obviusly by someone different).

Yes, that would be awesome indeed. We got a hint of that in Thor with those Frost Giants.

I think we will see Thor 2 have some hints toward Avengers 2, but Cap 2 might be more closely linked due to his SHIELD ties. That is my opinion, though. I don't think Thor 2 will be as tied as most think to Avengers 2.
