I'm sick of fans taking footage that we've already seen, editing it, and adding badass music to it, thus making me want the game even more

That video was so badass

Man that's so lame that the PSMove controller showed the most gameplay. Beggars can't be choosers though.

The combat animations at 1:14 look absolutely awful. It is choppy, he uses the same punch animation 3 times in a row, the jump over the goon is jerky, he motions web shooting from mid air behind the goon but nothing comes out.

They were supposed to be taking notes from Arkham City a combat system highly based on quality animations. Did they forget that part or something?

I didn't think it looked bad at all. The last two punches looked weird but besides that the jump looked good and he does indeed shoot web out at the goon.

the two punches didn't just look weird. They completely skipped the necessary animations. Even if that was the intended combo there should have been pull back between pucnhes. The jump did not look good he starts to jump does not get quite high enough to make it over so he motion shifts over the goons shoulders while turning around. I will give on the web though I saw it faintly on another play through.

Most of this interview shows stuff we have already seen and Dee talks about stuff we've already heard about.

At around the 1:13 mark we get another look at the combat and it looks...well, it looks kinda stupid. I'm not sure stupid is the right word, maybe...awkward...or stiff. I'm not sure how to describe it but I was very unimpressed about how it looked. The animations were almost droopy. Why was Spidey's head looking at the ground when trhowing those punches. Oh, and would you call those punches? They looked more like slaps. Did not like. Hopefully we get a much better look at the combat system during E3.

Everything else in the video looked great though. The graphics are sharp and the stealth moves were a definite upgrade over the Noir visuals.

I was not impressed at all and even though it was a very small sequence of the combat that was shown...my excitement for the game has dropped a bit. I'm hoping that one, it was not something from the final build...meaning that the animations have been improved over what we saw and two, when we see the gameplay at E3 there is much more combat to view and it looks better than what we've seen so far. I'm not getting my hopes up though.

P.S.--Great avatar Oscorp! You always pick good ones lol.

Yeah I totally agree! After getting into Arkham City again and then watching vids of ASM, I'm like "It will never even get close", and so it feels kinda pointless buying a bad wannabe.

It's not only the combat either. The environments are so bland and boring. I wonder how Rocksteady would have handled the Spidey license! Oh, one can only dream!

Thank you! Haha, I'm glad to hear! I'm however still looking for the right avatar haha! I'd love to have a cool Shocker gif.

I think it might actually be older footage.

First off the combat in the move trailer looked a lot cleaner.

Second the chair he is sitting in looks like an image he posted on twitter a week or two ago regarding interviews he had been doing which could imply that this footage was older than the footage in the move trailer.

Personally for me I will make my final judgement off the E3 footage next week.

Why are there 2 threads for this game? Wouldn't it be better for info flow if the 2 were merged?

And yeesh, those combat animations looked rough.

Haha you people were ready to damn preorder off a flashy sizzle reel, now a bit of gameplay footage rolls out and you need to 'reserve judgement' for a better look. Should of been doing that from the start.

I'm getting it.. Already have it paid off. Then again I don't hold the Batman games up as the greatest games ever made either. If this is simply a decent Spidey game.. Then it's buy worthy.

Id have to agree. As long as its not Spider-Man 3 or Web of Shadows level suck, then i think it'll be worth the pick up. Iv always been leaning towards a buy and that hasn't really changed., just haven't preordered it yet. Might do that sometime next week depending on what comes out of E3.

Keep in mind I really, really like AA/AC.. I'm just not going to hold other games up to it. Maybe I should.. But I won't.

The Sega Cap game is darn good IMHO and I fully believe that we'll be getting a better Spidey game from Benox.

Ok, just watched the video and to be honest, that wasn't what i was expecting, in a bad way. The combat segment shown looked like they did nothing more than implement the enemies to gang around you Arkham Asylum style. Overall, it's TASM in look and name, but its the 2 previous games in gameplay, I saw recycled animations and sound fx used from Shattered Dimensions, but they've been working on this game for 2 yrs???? yes of course

I disagree with you about the overall 'look' of TASM. The graphics look really nice throughout the city...it has that photorealism effect and I'm digging that very much. The only real environment we've seen besides the city has been inside of the Oscorp bldg. Can't really say it looks bland nor boring at this point.

I'm hoping it's older footage. The combat itself seems to be working correctly...meaning that it has a nice flow to it. My only concern is the animations of Spidey and his form during the punches. I'm hoping that those animations are improved if this was indeed older footage. The roundhouse kick to the face and the vault over the guy with the webbing both looked really good.

lol, I hope you're not referring to me on that one. I've always been a supporter of Beenox with this game and I've been pretty excited about all the news coming out but I've also had the attitude of waiting to see unedited gameplay before making a decision about how much I actually like the game without playing it obviously. Yes, I did preorder a copy of the game, but as a devout Spidey fan, I was gonna buy this game day one anyway.
