Diablo III...

Well, there's been numerous rumors spreading about its release, so I only hope the rumors become true.

There was a call by Blizzard in the middle of last year, for artists who can create, "character sketches, icon designs, etc.," to aid the creators of Diablo, Diablo II, and Diablo II: LOD.

What do you all hope to see, should DIII come out?

I'd personally like to a see a more up-close hack-and-slash style game [like the Lord of the Rings: Return of the King video game], a little bit of personal customizing [sex and look of the heroes]. Maybe even a feature that lets your actions determine which side you fight for.

Personally, I think DII- especially with the addition of L.O.D.- will be hard to top. It was huge enough as it is, so let's hope that Blizzard can pull it off, should they create the game.

I hope it to remain how the original two were, a classic online RPG which was just overall FUN!

I personally hope they focus on Starcraft II before Diablo 3, and a whole new IP before Starcraft 2. I wouldn't mind a single player Warcraft RPG either.

But Diablo 1 and 2 weren't online. Getting the recent patches and a mod required an internet connection, and there was a multiplayer feature.

But lacking an internet connection doesn't prevent a person from playing the game

The Diablo 3 beta has just been released ! I got my hand on a beta key and I finished the beta with most of the characters so far. Also, Blizzard announced today (on the official battle net website) that the official release will be earlier in 2012. They announced some other news such as the new barbarian skills system (barbarian skills diablo 3 ), and the introduction of the new runestones.

Anyone on the SuperHeroHype forum in the beta so far?
