Would've been perfect if you actually photoshopped Nic Cage, this is hilarious.

I'm so glad this costume design does not have trunks. I've been wanting a new superman costume design for years.

Can anybody edit these to look like the Man of Steel suit?

So what's the consensus these days here on the boards on the MOS suit... people still divided as ever?

I've always been a fan.
You know, it's funny how some names seem to be missing from daily discussions now that the costume thread is dead. |

We still need a GOOD clear look at it to end the debate.

Dude, I think the debate will rage on even after the movie comes out.
I really want to like this suit, I truly do. |

personally, i dont think there's enough red in the front of the suit to counterbalance for the blue, but that's just me

I feel like it's a sorely missed opportunity for a great suit. The cape attachment is PERFECT and the muscle suit is awesome, but I don't really care for anything else. My least favorite aspect of the costume has to be the semi-gothic look of the piping. I would've also have liked the shield to have looked like the shield they officially released not too long ago. If anything it shouldn't have had the texture that the rest of the suit has. Also, to reiterate what Super Kal said, there's no red in the mid section to break up the wall of blue from his shield to his boots.
It's certainly one of the better suits in the history of live action Supermen but it's not as awesome as it could have been.

It doesn't do a good enough job. Maybe if it were a lighter color blue, like InKaH or kal-el1990, showed it would look better, but as is the actual suit has piping that is a slightly darker blue than the rest of the suit and doesn't do much to break up the sea of blue in his midsection.

Let us wait until we see official footage of what it's meant to look like before we make such definitive statements, dont ya think?

Ah yes...we're allowed to praise/defend the movie but as soon as criticism is expressed WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR AN OFFICIAL PHOTO/TRAILER

Haven't we already seen clear images of the suit in broad daylight though? Why isn't that enough to make a judgement

I think it's good enough for me...and if you go by what that guy said who described the two scenes, he said those photos were intentionally released by WB...so from what I've seen in those photos I love the suit

Because it could looks different on the film. Not design-wise, obviously, but aesthetically.

I don't either... and waiting for a trailer or footage just to watch to see if it is aesthetically stunning isn't going to really change the minds of those who already dont like the visual design. i use the SR design as a comparison... i hate that thing. it's visually unappealing in every way. i watched the movie, and it was STILL visually unappealing... even worse with the filter used. |

I think that the movie may very well look really frikkin' cool, and the visuals had better be if they have any hope of holding up to Avengers. However, and its just my own personal opinion of course, the suit would have been better if it had been true blue classic and not some kind of alien garb. I mean come on, we've never actually seen scenes of Clark making creative use of his heat vision to help his mother make the suit out of his blankets in any movie or tv show. Look, I'll use Avengers as the example that proves that a man can wear and American flag uniform and somehow navigate around the bad brand of cheesiness. By the way, saw Avengers for the third time tonight... just so damn good.
