Indeed, and as DarkSovereignty said, one of the best scenes with classic rock playing, but I'd go a step further and say one of the best scenes with music in the backdrop period.

I want to see this happen. I think it'll make Crowley all more impressive as a big bad.

honestly... i enjoyed the show better when a season wasn't really theme'd concentrated on one villain. I mean.. you can argue it's always been that way with Yellow Eyes and demons... but we saw alot of other creatures in season 1 and 2, that they've really yet to repeat. This season was nothing but Leviathans and ghosts... and it got boring really quick

Yeah I heard ya but Crowley can be a good themed season villian. And I thought tha was the route they was going back to post season 5. Back to the roots of the show ala seasons 1 and 2.

i also think the lack of supporting characters suck too.. everyone is gone for the most part. Though.. I really hope the girl with the "dungeons and dragons" tattoo comes back... she's pretty awesome

Well I'd love to see Bella back but seeing as she became hell hound chow that isn't going to happen. God I miss that woman!

The actress is busy running from zombies.

But I suppose the character has been in hell long enough to possibly turn into a demon.

I hope they bring back felicia day's character too. and maybe the fan girls will start foaming at the mouth about her, seeing as how she's a lesbian, thus not making her an option for either brother, which is generally what set the fan girls off with bella and ruby I think.

This is true, but we rarely see someone returning if they go to Hell, only if they go to Heaven.

I'm afraid they're gonna make Dean's character more softer next season with him being stuck in Purgatory. Dean's always been black and white when it comes to monsters, as evident with how he handled Amy. I feel like the writers are going to have him meet with all the monsters he's killed and make him start to second guess hunting or something. Don't get me wrong, I like how both Sam and Dean have changed since the first season. Dean was a savage badass and Sam was always the calm one but its no doubt the roles have switched as time went on. But I'd like Dean to become more like his seasons 1-3 self. Sam's fine the way he is.

Or maybe when Dean gets out of Purgatory he'll be more aggressive. Who knows?

I do hope they don't show Dick or Eve though, only because that's gonna complicate the whole monster souls/Purgatory thing in my opinion. If Eve or Dick shows up it will make it as if they can't actually die and can return anytime they want which would just be too confusing.

He didn't know what, but he was banking on something happening to take them out of the picture. He explained this to Sam. Am I the only one who paid attention to what he was talking about?
Actually all Crowley said was that he had an army of demons outside the building to keep other leviathans out for now. The leviathans are still their own masters but without Dick to lead them Crowley is hoping that they fall apart and can't work together. Crowley even says to Sam that the mission now is to keep the leviathans from reorganising (convenient reason to not have Crowley kill Sam on the spot ).

So in short, Crowley was just hoping that the Winchesters would manage to kill Dick and that like before he could just swoop in to pick up the pieces like he did after Lucifer fell. To say that he somehow masterminded anything here is a stretch, it's much more accurate to say that he was ready to act if others managed to do what he himself could not.

Ya that sucks a bit but we do have to remember they have a budget to stay within so a long term purgatory stay would probably be heard. Ie cgi monsters and what not. Though even though it says quickly. Maybe dean will still be there for most of premire.

What? The longest the two have ever actually been separate was from the end of 5x02 to 5x04, two episodes. The show is only sustained by the brothers being together, and every year they have a split between them and the end every season, except for 4 has one of the brothers, either dead or dying or in some sort of life threatening trouble.

What about that is worthy? It's the formula of the entire series.

The inevitable. I expected this to happen, and at this point it is par for the course. You'd think after 8 seasons some would learn what to expect instead of setting themselves up for disappointment.

Yeah, all shows have a budget and the exact same thing happened for season 4. Why would this be any different? You know what, don't answer that.

Yeah they intended or would have liked to leave Dean in hell until around episode 5 of season 4, and show some of hell and Dean's existence there. Due to budgetary reasons they had to scrap the whole idea. It's brought up in one of the commentaries on season 4. Its the same with Dean in Purgatory. If they would have had the budget I'm sure they would have done something with it, but they don't so they can't. It isn't there fault.

I wonder if this goes away of my idea that we'll see previous monsters show up or even escape from Purgatory with Dean...
