Don't hate him. I liked him the War Games storyline, but I didn't feel like I had a need for him to stick around as a villain. Have no clue what he's up to now.

Kingdom Come's tremendous comic bookage. I must re-read it one of these days...

Black Mask's okay. Depends who writes him. But I can't think of anything exceptional he's ever done. Put it this way, I've never gotten halfway through a Bat story and thought to myself: "Y'know what? This book needs some Black Mask".

With whats been going down in recent days, seems pretty apt to discuss I think.

Obsidian's great. I mean, yeah, his costume's not the best and he can be a little bit whiny sometimes but c'mon! The guy has some serious issues...

Love that this thread uses so many characters from the Goyer/Johns' JSA era. That book was fantastic.

I never really cared one way or the other for Obsidian. I liked his turn to villainy in JSA and the fact that his father ultimately redeemed him, but I can't say I ever felt much of an attachment to the character. I liked those stories far more for Alan than Todd.

I LOVES Obsidian and have done ever since Andreyko's run on Manhunter

He's a great gay character and him and Damon made such a great couple when they were together

I really wish he were still around in the DCU

I wish there were more of a superhero bent to his appearances in Manhunter. He mostly appeared out of costume in that series when, really, he could've been helping Manhunter on a lot of cases.

I seem to remember him helping her out once but it would have been neat to see them team up more often

I guess with how powerful Obsidian is maybe the writer thought it would make things too easy for Kate if they teamed up often

i dig his power and the threads are cool ass!.. plus cause of an entirely different thing he rocks.Him and Tiger Shark share something that will always make him cool in my book!! Hehe I've learned alot of stuff from comics. stay away from radioactive isotope and lightning with chemicals nearby, but what i learned mostly is the acceptance of others. i don't care if you are green with a 12th level intellect or gay!Gay is like the hot topic now aint it?!like i said before i could so care less about who someone is doing the nasty with. Wonder Woman: The Hiketeia

I love the Hiketeia. It was Rucka's first Wonder Woman story and was every bit as fab as the stories he wrote for her ongoing

And that cover is indeed kinky hawtness

I've actually never read the story but I see that image everywhere. It's become quite iconic really, hasn't it?

Yeah, it's a very good story. One of the best WW stories which sadly, there aren't many.

Basically, the stories goes like this, There's this ancient Greek ritual or rite or whatever that people can perform that honor bounds the person they perform it to to take them in, and protect them from any and all. If they shirk their duties, they will be ripped to shreds by the furies or sisters of fate or whatever you wanna call em. This chick murders some people in Gotham, which of course draws Batman who then tracks her all the way to Wonder Woman's front door, where she performs the ritual, resulting in WW having to protect her, no matter what, from Batman, the police, and whoever. The result? Bats gets his ass kicked.

Yeah, that sounds awesome. That's JSA: The Golden Age and now this I have to check out.

It's well worth reading for Wonder Woman fans and fans of Greg Rucka
