The only think I have ever disliked about the movies are the little things. For instance, how hard would it have been to give rogue the deep southern acxcent for the movie----not once has she said "shooga". its just an accent. give me a freaking break ---rogue already has enough things against her in the movie, like flight and super strength, but why not have the accent. its such a little detail yet could have made that much more a difference. Also --- other people in the movies without their correct accents --toad, pyro, collosus, i mean c'mon. Actors are paid to act. make them learn the accent. its not a big deal. actors do it all the time. seriously though --- little things that could have been changed easily could have combined into a major change that the movies could have been through.

1: Rogue began afraid of her powers, and seemingly reached some closure by the end of X1, she certainly seemed less distraught over her abilities in X2, and even used them to good effect stopping Pyro's rampage at the Drake's. X3 gives us a Rogue who is suddenly deeply insecure again, and finally takes the cure and blots out her own existence as mutant (and really a quite powerful one at that) in order to have a boyfriend (most anti-feminist movie moment of the year, anyone?). 2: At the end of X2 Jean "chose" Cyclops and chose her death. X3 has her just reappear all crazy like, apparently kill Cyke, try to get freaky with Wolverine, and then pointlessly (and silently) play with Wolverine's head for the rest of the film until she just dies - only by being redeemed by Wolverine's love. 3. Nightcrawler disappears. 4. Storm has anger, which helps her survive and is the den mother and secondary leader of the X-Men. No, wait, she just doesn't think mutants should be cured yet doesn't provide Rogue with the counsel to not seek the Cure. She also now needs Wolverine to help her lead the team to the point that he gives the orders in the final battle. She also suddenly capitulates on her earlier stance and agrees the only way to stop Magneto is to force the cure upon him. Beast could've just clubbed the dink with a rock to the head... 5. Wolverine supposedly found himself at the end of X2 - "I'll take my chances with them" and accepted Jean Grey's decision "she chose you." Yet X3 shows his love not only remains but is strong enough to pull her out her Phoenix persona. Likewise his teamwork and leadership abilities are demonstratedly weak until the final battle. Once again the last Stand is about Wolverine's development in exclusion of others. 6. Professor Xavier is sweet, wise fatherly character. Except he locks up Jean's split personality rather than working to reintegrate her shattered psyche following a traumatic childhood event, and then does the same after she arises from a similar trauma as an adult compounded by the apparent killing of her love. He also questions the morals of planting a mind in the brain-dead body of another. Then up and does it with impunity.

Toad had a British accent, like he is supposed to. Pyro and Collosus were wholly rewritten as Americans, so while that's something to be angry about, not including accents is a symptom of that decision rather than a flaw.

i dont know --- i didnt really pick up on toad or rogue's accents--- if they were there then they were very vague. still. my problems stand true --- i could go on and on but thats still the basis of my complaints --- dont get me wrong --- i loved the movies and when i find myself getting mad over it i just tell my self that it is just another x-men universe and anything goes

1. Longer Running Time:The movie felt rushed at a lot of parts, and it needed to be fleshed so we can taken in what exactly was happening. Give young x-men more lines and scenes. It needed character develoment as well.
2.Cyclops being alive:his death was pointless, and wasn't handled well at all. It was like poff his gone, let's move on. Cyclops's desreved to have more screentime, than that!!! 3.Better dialogue:Some of the characters lines didn't match their personality, and it felt forced!! 4.Too much editing:There were too many lines and good scenes that were cut out of the movie, making to disappointing at times!! Fixed those things, and it would have been damn near perfect!!

Phoenixfire, may I include some of your points in my analysis? I see we're on the same page on alot of things and I don't want to be reduntant.

What further compounds the problem is that Jean never, ever showed any hint of resentment, bitterness or anger to the Professor. If it had been a feeling deep down inside her, then there should have been at least a clue! Especially during X2 for the mental blocks people who insist that her powers and phoenix persona were coming to the surface. But instead we get the exact opposite of her attitudes towards Xavier: In the extra scene between her an Xavier late at night in Cerebro, Xavier sincerely regrets getting her and the others involved in his work where they could have led normal, regular lives. With tears in her eyes, Jean clearly tells him: "I can't speak for the rest, but without you it wouldn't have been a life worth living" and kisses him on the forehead. And later on as Xavier recovers from his Coma, Jean tells him that she's glad he is back, and Xavier thanks her for "being there to guide me back". A leap like this is too much to believe. It's clearly a contradiction from what was established in X1 and X2, and one of the examples in which X3 is inconsistent with previous material

Hi, I'm new.
And given the chance and if bended reality, and if I had a few movies under my belt, I would have made a better third X-Men movie given the chance. If it's possible would anyone care to hear how I would plan it? |
